I continually thank God for His goodness, His divine covering and protection and His mercy.
Here's my story.
So, as fat watchers go, i only eat the egg whites with my oatmeal in the morning. That leaves me with cups of egg yolks. I hate throwing perfectly good food away when a million families dont have enough to eat so I use the egg yolks to bake treats for my parents.
Last Saturday, I was making graham cracker pudding. Everything was set, i already poured the batter in their individual cupcake cups and was prepping to preheat the oven. I turned on the gas line without checking the oven knobs, i lit a match, opened the oven door and....
FFFFOOOOOMMMM!!!! (literally. that was the sound. literally.)
I snapped the oven door close in a that split second and in that fraction of a second, i saw, heard and smelled some hair get singed off. Thank God, I was wearing a cap and my hair pulled up in a bun so my hair was damaged just the baby hair on the sides. Also, earlier that day I was cursing at my glasses and how I hated them now, I thank God I have them to protect my eyes aside from aiding my vision. The only injury I got was a 1st-degree burn in my right hand (just the fingers) and God healed it almost overnight.
Thank you Lord. I cannot express how grateful I am that I am not the 6 o'clock news.
