Swag.
The culture today (children, douchebags and basically, annoying "YOLO" people) is driven by who has the best "swag".
I view swag as having some kind of leverage or an edge over your peers, bragging rights of sorts. Some get their swag from money, cars, a high-paying job...even who they're in a relationship with. Status is everything.
I took up bodybuilding to have a great physique while also losing my unsightly rolls of fat. A great physique is that one status symbol that I can flaunt with so much pride. Why? Because I didnt buy it. No amount of money can get you an ass like this. Its through discipline, hard work and passion for the sport.
The fewer who own a true status symbol, the more attractive it is. Now, look around you. How many do you see with a stellar physique?
You see, if you’re health is good and you look it, too, then you have power. And it's impossible for anyone to take away from you. Nobody can steal it or copy it.
So keep working on that body you've always dreamed of.
