Trimming down/dieting/fatloss is two interrelated components -
1. the will to do it
2. actually doing it

Where you are mentally or spiritually has always been my biggest issue. If I can psyche myself into an ambitious project, job or crazy endeavor, I can usually succeed. If I don't succeed, I learn from it creating a trajectory of success in the future.

So today, I planned for tomorrow (actually today as I do have to leave for work in a few hours). I mixed up a morning power mix - kashi honey puffs (only 6g sugar, 2g fiber) 1/2c yogurt, crushed nuts, and some sweet n low (carcinogenic, I know, hence only using one packet). I made three servings to last me the remainder of the week. The protein shakes I ordered are also supposed to be arriving in the mail sometime in the afternoon so after work and the gym I'm not planning to cook since it'll be just me this evening, and I can sip away.

I previously wrote about doing the Cheat to Lose Diet, and tried the carb-loading phase eating all and ate whatever I wanted (primarily dark chocolate, a nice bar of it). The next day, of course, I ate absolutely no carbs, did my interval workout, and then managed to fall over while trying to unlock the door to our apartment. My theory is that the dramatic shift in my blood sugar levels threw me out of whack, and I need to stick to some balanced plan.

I recently read on Jamie Eason's page in that eating too few carbs hinders brain function. I think she's right, as the beginning of the year was no walk in the park during the no-carb phase that I did while losing lots of weight.

It's time for some rest. Goodluck to everyone on this quest for better health and fitness.

You sound like an ambitious woman, on a mission of success!! RIGHT ON... you go girl! :)
