mamaX4's Journal, 04 August 2008

OK. Today is the day that I really, really start over. My mother and I are going to do this together, and my fondest wish is that once she starts to get accustomed to the "right" way of eating, her diabetes will get under control. My next wish, of course, is to be thin, healthy and gorgeous myself. (hey, it can't all be about her!)

I have allowed myself to eat myself back onto an overflowing gut, and my double chin is back. I simply gave up, and over the past months have eaten more sugary, disgusting foods than an average third-world country. Every bad mood, or lousy day, or celebration, or special event, was an excuse to overload on cake or brownies, doughnuts or cookies. I still want them, right this minute. I just have to fight off the cravings, brace for these first three (really hard) days, and I'll be on my way.

Good luck to all of you out there, and please send some mental support our way. You'll hear from us in a week.
