I just wish I knew what would work!!!!!! I have sort of been following WW pts for 1 month....I kinda slack off on tracking mid afternoon-dinner-night time! Anyway...my sister-in -law lost 100 lbs on Atkins yrs ago...but she gained @ least 50 of it back...and she is on Atkins again. I am the type of person that I get DEMOTIVATED very easily if I do not lose wt pretty quickly.....still not sure what to do ?
Any advice on WW vs. Atkins??

I guess I can only comment on and praise WW having lost 64lbs since last September. Sadly there's no quick fix for losing and I guess with any healthy eating plan the only way for it to work effectively is for us to stick to whatever plan we're following. I don't know if you've tried filling in the diet calendar here, but certainly I've found that very useful for keeping on track and helping me remain accountable for every little mouthful. It will track your WW points, although you may need to turn them on via "Edit Preferences" once in the food diary page. I've also found the diet calendar useful for evaluating things like the ratios of fat, protein and carbs. Good luck with making your choice though! :o)

I have tried both Atkins and WW. When I tried Atkins, I found that I was able to lose weight as I initially began dropping pounds fairly quickly within only a month. However, I knew myself well enough to know that Atkins was not something I could stick with life long. I found myself struggling to stay away from carbohydrates which is probably my #1 vice when it comes to food. So I stopped doing Atkins because I needed to find something that I could easily turn into a way of life as opposed to a diet. I just started WW this past Monday, July 28th. I was skeptical going into it but now just 7 days later, I have to say it is much easier for me to follow than Atkins was. I get to have a variety of foods and all I have to do is stay within my points. One thing that has made it easy for me are the frozen Smart Ones meals which have the points right on the box. Also, if you look at the boxes of Lean Cuisine and Healthy choice, they have WW points listed as well. This week I pretty much ate these every day for lunch and dinner and supplemented the rest of the day with a variety of different items. I can honestly say that I have eaten enough everyday to feel satisfied and still been able to enjoy a dessert or a light beer here and there. I have lost 7.6 lbs in just one week and I feel confident that WW is something I can stick with. I too beleive that the only way for any plan to work effectively is to stick with it, so you just have to pick the one that is right for you. Good luck to you!

Using the WW points has been working for me, as long as I record EVERYTHING, concentrate on healthy foods, and exercise every day. Hang in there! Enlist your family to join in! You'll get there, I'm sure!
