Yay, Friday. It’s sunny today but cold. I’m anticipating the FS reaction to this weigh in. The quirky little ‘message generator’ will probably ask ‘are you even trying?’ and offer all sorts of Armageddon type warnings.

That’s okay. It really is. I know for those of you whooshing down the scale at a steady pace this does seem unproductive but it’s been anything ‘but’ stagnant for me.

This past month has been the first time I’ve ever stopped an increase. I have been up & down 5-7lbs repeatedly. It’s as if my body doesn’t want to let go of 211 and I’m oddly, crazily, irrationally okay with that for now.

I’ve always been a scale whoosher up and down but never stopped and just ‘held my ground’. I’ve always rationalized it with ‘hey, I lost 60lbs… 5 lbs isn’t going to hurt me.’ But then it’d become 10, 11 & in a blink: 50.

This past Monday when I’d climbed up to 218 I had to make a decision. I knew 3-4lbs of that was water from the physical workout I’d had over the weekend but I had to accept the rest was weight, fat, whatever. So I had to acknowledge that if I continued eating in excess the weight would return as it has over and over.

Or change. That day. Remember how I got to this point and do it, that thing that helped me decrease the weight.

So this .2 increase … please, don’t cry for me, Argentia. I’m okay today. Better than I have been for a month.

The photos - Liv - I couldn’t help but think of you on that hamster as that was your profile for so long. What else? A joke, a snapshot of the scale recordings from my FitIndex scale app from the past month. A new cheese I tried last night but didn’t like. No point in that. And a snapshot of the bowls I use for leftovers. I love these. They pop in the microwave for reheating.

That’s all for now. I’m having dinner in Dallas with a friend tomorrow. I’m not on any quest for a different food (like the bone marrow last month) so we’re likely going to a steakhouse.

You sound a lot like me. I've also been carrying an additional 5-7 pounds for about 2 weeks now and I totally analyze why (well, I know what I ate) and I've been trying like crazy to take it off, but then I started snacking at night. Today it's 5 pounds. I'm thinking of fasting because I'm going to post the weight tomorrow. Anyway, I'm very analytical but just because I know exactly what I need to do doesn't mean I will do it. Love the idea of setting the scales back 10 pounds for the holidays!

Great job ‘holding your ground’! I love when I see someone having a maintenance time. If you can do it now you can do it later on! Here’s hoping for a loss soon though!

This has been a very weird month for me between the 'holding off a gain' ( I like that phrase) and trying different foods. Day by day. That's all I can do. Day by day.
