Ate too much yesterday. I will blame my high stress level since Wednesday afternoon on dealing with AT&T. Because our daughter has poor/non-existent service with Verizon in San Diego, we decided to buy all new iPhones and switch back to that old devil, AT&T. I knew it would be a mistake, but for decent coverage, it was our only option. So I called their customer service to get the best possible deal and was enticed by a "supervisor" with massive credits and discounts. The procedure took hours and at the end of it, the confirmations they sent had us purchasing the wrong phone, despite my clearly stating exactly what I wanted to order. I told the supervisor it was wrong and she said not to worry, she would correct it. I kept badgering her about the error on the order and she continued to assure me it was fine. I checked back with them yesterday, and just as I'd feared, they shipped the wrong thing and no one could correct the order. It was too late. I was told I'd have to accept the incorrect order and then return it when it arrives. My husband called them back irate, and told the new rep that we were told to return the order, and he said NO don't do that because you'll lose your current phone numbers. WTF!? So basically, AT&T does not train its reps properly and you're screwed once they mess up, which is inevitable. The front line people will immediately tell you they can't help you. You get escalated to the next tier of reps and they'll tell you how sorry they are. but they can't help you either. And the next tier will pretend to give you a solution, but it often turns out to be something you should not do. Worst corporation in America.
