Just when I though getting fit and living a healthy lifestyle was easy...

Went for a bicycle ride today in West Salem, OR. Mostly flat with some rollers. Not much shoulder, in fact none in some areas. Had a tractor-trailer rig blast me with his horn as he sped by. I turned a mile up the road, and there was the trucker pulled off to the side. I asked him if he had problems with cyclists and sharing the road. He promptly pulled our a 2 1/2 foot wrench from behind his seat and started coming towards me. I turned and got out of there as quicly as I could.

I had already been pushing a high heart rate on the ride, the adrenaline and additional speed pushed me several beats over my max (off the chart on my Digifit app). Called the police and hopefully they can ground this guy - if he is that unstable, he doesn't belong behind the wheel of a rig like that. Now I have to worry anytime I ride that route if I am going to have a run-in with him.

I wonder if they make bicycle-friendly holsters for Glocks...
