I let myself have beef ribs for dinner at pitt cue...

Not overly impressed. They were Ok but not great. Maybe I just caught then on a bad day as everyone else raves about the restaurant.

Pulled pork loaded skins. Crispy with large pieces of pulled pork. What should have been juicy and tender was rendered firm and wet because it was lukewarm at best. 20ºC hotter and they would have been wonderful.

Bone Marrow mash. Looked wonderful but was again lukewarm and claggy. Underseasoned to the point of blandness.

Beef ribs. Perfect texture and the one thing that was served at a reasonable temp (and the last thing I ate so must've been really hot to begin with). Sadly again so underseasoned that the beef flavour was lost.

The pickles were good though.

One thing I would say however is that the price for the portion was excellent. Less than £25 for the lot, and would have been a fiver cheaper still had I not succumbed to the potato skins...

And yes I know I need to get off this jag of treating myself with food when I have a good weigh-in. So many restaurants I want to try... :/

Its good to shake it up...all work and no play etc etc :)

Yes, but I've done it repeatedly over the past few weeks, and it's not a good habit to get into.

I know what you mean but its hard not to socialise especially when its so enjoyable. Twice a month would be ok? ??

Enjoy it! Why is it a bad thing? As long as you sensibility treat yourself I see no reason to stop. :D

It's a bad thing only because I am doing it _too_ regularly and it's a slippery slope I really don't want to get back on... I need to give myself a push for the next month and try get near my 16st target before Cricket season starts (not because I play I just wanna freak out a few old family friends).
