Last year I went hiking and woke up very sore the next morning. I ended up weighing 2 pounds heavier apparently due to something called Delayed Onset Muscel Soreness. My thigh muscle has apparently retained extra water and hopefully it will flush itself out soon. It's the only thing that explains the weight gain after a -1600 calorie day and a really good cardio workout.
