Summer time, and the eating is easy. Living in Houston, it's crazy hot and humid. Even swimming several times a day, I just don't feel like eating much. My go to is fruit and there is so much fresh, luscious fruit to choose from. Also gardening and yard work every week have me sweating off every drop of water weight. I'm not complaining! My husband says I'm a lizard, because I love hot weather and sunshine (and thunderstorms--NOT FLOODS FYI--but there's nothing like a good thunder boomer!)

I love a good thunderstorm!!! Summer food is a hit or miss, at the beach I want all the snacks but when Iā€™m busy with the yard, house, garden, & chickens (not to mention all the other mom things I have to do lol) I find I forget about food!šŸ˜³

Can be a good or bad thing, forgetting about food. I do that too at times, but then sometimes I will suddenly be ravenously hungry, to the point I will eat anything I can find, and far too much of it. Do you ever do that? May just be me. I've started keeping a list of easily made and eaten items on the fridge or in a note on my phone, and buying from the list so they're always available. Fruit is tops! Another fave is fresh mozzarella balls. Sometimes I eat them with figs from my fig tree, sometimes Wheat Thins, and often I make a little salad with spinach, grape tomatoes and a drizzle of balsamic. We call it "Throw it in the Hole" food! LOL
