Thank you, all, for your support and encouragement!

Since last evening's dinner and only meal (a single hamburger with some condiments and a dill pickle wedge), I've had a "breakfast" cup of coffee with HWC and stevia (the last bit not allowed on a "real" fast) and then only water. When I feel like it, I have an occasional pinch of Redmond's "Real Salt" (mined from deep underground in Utah, from an ancient sea).

Dr. Fung's "The Complete Guide to Fasting" includes Jimmy Moore's account of his progress from paleo, LCHF, keto, and then on to one-, four-, seven-, and 27-day fasts -- a helpful practical description of his experiences. Without it, I'd maybe feel more trepidation. With Fung and Moore at my elbow, this all feels pretty routine.

I felt "empty" at 22 hours into my first "real" fast day. I was aiming for 48 hours but, after 24 hours, I decided I wanted to eat. The cucumber in the fridge was just beginning to shrivel and I didn't want to waste it. The idea of a nice, cool bowl with garlic, dill, and cucumber tzatziki and Himalayan salt was too appealing to pass up.

I'm satisfied with my first successful 24-hour fast and plan to do it again tomorrow!
223.0 lb Lost so far: 62.0 lb.    Still to go: 55.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
