Good morning, Fatsecret!

I just realized that the weigh-in I did here yesterday didn't register! I should have double checked, I apologize. I was down a whole kilo, and damn proud of that.

Do you guys also get an error when you weigh in? I get it every day and it's driving me nuts! I have reported it who-know-how-many times to the FatSecret Guy In The Sky, but they don't seem to do much about it. :/

Anyways, I'm down in weigh again today, significantly. Another kilo+ is off.

Yesterday was Indulgence Day, but I didn't feel like I deserved one, and I didn't feel like I needed one. So instead, I focused on reaching my goal, and just stuck to my regular calories.

I am gonna need an Indulgence Day next Saturday, as a dear old friend whom I haven't seen in AGES will be visiting. Good food, a few beers, etc.

Anyways, since it's Sunday, I won't stay long. Just rest assured that it's all good, and that I am dropping weight fast.

Does sugar really affect me that much?!?

I'm giving the "strictly no sugar" thing another go. This essentially means no candies, cakes and all that jazz for me. It means that I will spend ALL my calories on proper food, and not snacks. Not chips and other junk either. Food.

Yesterdays treats were cherry tomatoes and an apple, and plenty of tea. Evening dessert was a strawberry/fatfree milk smoothie with a little sweetener. It was just fine. I think it helps that I am focused on the weight loss, and I get stubborn.

When ever I wanted something sweet, I tried to simply ask myself if I'd rather lose some weight or have the sweet. I could fairly easily make myself see that the bigger mission - the weight loss - was way more important than the little piece of chocolate or whatever I felt like. It really wasn't that bad - probably because I never gave in and had the first piece.

I wanna thank you all for all your amazing comments. You have so many suggestions, great ideas, and so much support that was given to me. Thank you so much.

In response to them, I do think I do by far most of it right:

I do register all my food to the absolute best of my abilities, I weigh pretty much everything, and I am pretty strict with "winging it" when necessary.

I drink TONS of water.

I now avoid the sugars - let's see what happens with that.

I will get back to watch the McKenna videos. They do work!


I'm STILL (yup, STILL) fighting my cold, allergies, or whatever it is. It makes it REALLY hard to keep my head in the game. I have a pretty much constant runny nose, I keep sneezing. I keep being cold. I keep feeling sick. Trust me, it's no easy task to stay active and focused with this. It's no easy task convincing myself to go to the gym.

Which reminds me - Gym friday went really well again. I think I like going there. It's such a nice, quiet place in the mornings, and I have fun doing it - especially now that I have my own music with me. It makes it even better.

I'm taking the weekend off from there though. The cold is kicking my butt - but rest assured that I will be there tomorrow at 7 am. I want to, and I need to.

Besides, they're only open at 7 three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If I don't go tomorrow, then I can't go until Wednesday. Not gonna happen.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Amazing omelette!
- A day with Wife, since rehearsing with the band is cancelled. Boo!
- Morning coffee
- Movies and shows! Wife and I just discovered "Flash Forward", an ABC show from a few years back. It's great!

Before I leave - I have teased you guys so many times with my new band project, but haven't really shown anything that we do.

We have finally done a little rehearal video, and we deemed it good enough to share. There's really not a lot to see, just us jamming in a circle. But it gives a pretty good idea of what we play, and what level we're on.

As always, if you actually wanna hear what I play, you need to play this on a stereo system or using headphones. Bass doesn't do well on laptops and ipads.

Awesome video Keld. Wish I would have seen this Friday night when I was "burnin". lol. Sounds like we are battling the same demons essentially. Good luck with that cold! Rest is probably good for it.

JP, I'm really in doubt about the cold, whether it's some kind of allergy/hay fever. I don't feel sick like I do with a cold, but my nose is all runny and my sinuses are killing me. I'm gonna get an appointment with my doc and see what I can do about it.

Ugh I just got over that "just sick enough to throw me off the bandwagon" cold thing. It did help to push through it, it'll be gone in no time keld. You guys sound amazing by the way! You certainly rock! :)

KP in real time. I LOVE it! Great job. Awesome on the kg down. The no sugar sounds like a REALLY good plan. Oh yeah, feel better soon. When I saw the video I forgot entirely that you were sick.

Hi Keld, I think it is great that because you did not need or want your indulgence day, so you didnt have it, that definately goes under the category of LISTENING TO YOUR BODY, brilliant. Regarding the sugar situation, i cut my sugar in my tea right back over the years, til i had not been taking any sugar in my tea. I also had a pact with my son for No sugar anything for 28 days, it workedand i felt great, but the same old story of habit, wanted to have something sugary before i started the next 28 days and that was it, back to old habits. I have been eating cakes and sweeties for a long time now so my youngest suggested that going back to half a teaspoon in my tea might stop me yearning the sweet stuff and for four days it is helping so i will keep yo posted on that. we just have to keep trying different things to help us manage our control. I don't get an error when I weight in, but I've been weighing in on the app on my phone, not on the computer website. ? Hope it gets resolved for you. Great job on the healthy treats, hopefully your body will start craving that stuff instead of the sugary junk - I'm a sucker for the sweet treats too though! I used to watch Flash Forward back when it first came out, but be warned that it got cancelled abruptly and I was SOOO mad!!!! I don't know that I ever actually finished watching the season - you'll have to let me know how you like it, but know that I warned you that there is no season 2, so some of the stuff may leave you hanging with no resolution! Great video, but I had to google "Deep Purple"... :)

I am in the 5th day of this misery called the flu. Some of my friends have been sick for weeks now. Great job with the no sugar! That should help speed up the weight drop! Have a great week!
