Last night I reflected on my one word for the year. The word is focus. One focus area I have this year and hopefully for the rest of my life will be exercising and eating right. I started the morning in my regular routine of reading the edtech news, participating in a tweet session for educators, etc. Then I spent 10 minutes on the elliptical before 2 hours of playing racquetball. After 2 games my foot became numb and I felt like quitting. The last 5 or 6 times I've played I've quit after the 2nd or 3rd game due to numbness. I had a major rollover accident back in March 2012 and have had about a dozen chiropratic treatments since then. I checked my journal from 3 years ago and realized that I'm right back at the same weight I was almost to the date. It's time for a change for God, my family, and myself. My focus must change. Today marks day one. May God reach others through me as I take this journey.
