Chants's Journal, 10 September 2007

Remind me when someone says "don't overdo it..." not to overdo it! I went for my weekly walk on Saturday around the neighbourhood and normally I walk for 30-40 minutes at a fast pace but when I got to 40 minutes this saturday, I wasn't out of breath or battling, so I decided to carry on! Ummmmm maybe in hindsight, I shouldnt' have! I got lost and found myself at the bottom of the steepest hill I'd ever seen - going back was no option because I should have known that when walking down a hill from a flat bit, when you get to the bottom, there is a steep walk back up! Duh... that's just how life goes!

Oh yeah, so I found myself at the bottom of a steep hill... and I took a deep breath and started walking up it - gosh, I was out of breath in no time and sweating like a piglet!!!!! It was the most gruelling walk in history - one I do not wish to repeat anytime soon! I eventually clocked my walk once I got home at a staggering 1hr 20minutes!!!!

As a well deserved treat, I showered, got dressed and drove down to the nearest coffee shop for a latte! ohhhh and it was gorgeous!

Haha, but just think of all the lovely calories you burned! Maybe instead of staying away from that route, you should tackle it until you can conquer that hill without breaking a sweat. Mm, lattes. Congrats on the mini-goal accomplishment!!!

All I could think about while walking that hill was all the little fat blobs falling off behind me! Hahahaha! I'm tackling that hill again this weekend! Whooohoooo go me!
