Goodmorning, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas year is slowly creeping in on the world, except in the countries who simply couldn't wait and chose to celebrate on the 24th (like mine, Denmark), and obviously those who don't celebrate Christmas (duh). :)

Like I said, we celebrated Christmas last night. It was a super nice evening, and the family had a great time together with Christmas movies, presents, a skype call with dear friends and a great Christmas dinner.

We had a traditional Danish pork roast with a couple of different types of potatoes, and pickled red cabbage, along with the best gravy I've had in years.

Along with it came a glass of red wine. And another. And another. lol. Then some snacks. Don't ask me how much I had of what, I lost count. Hey, it's only Christmas once a year, right?

And to top it off, Wife was so sweet and had made coffee and was real chatty this morning, so I got side tracked and forgot to weigh in. Again. Well, the result will be in sooner or later, it's not like I'm gonna weigh more or less from not weighing in.

I would have liked to know the damage though, but I don't wanna work with a wrong number. It's ok. I'll get back on it tomorrow.

Today, we're having guests over in the afternoon, after "opening presents with the family". It's in quotation marks, as we're not physically gonna be there, but will be there on Skype. This is our US family, we're "visiting". I love this new technology. We bought a camera for the new TV, so now we can have the family in the entire living room! How awesome!

I've had a cold messing with me the last days, so I have had to push the exercise that I had planned to the side. However, today I am on it. I have done the beginner video. I chose to do level one, though I used to ace level two. I did level two a few weeks ago and it wasn't too bad, but the day after was killing me. So I figured I'd start a little easy, and ease into it. The plan is to do this video daily for the rest of the Xmas break, and then move into level two.

I have also started a little on the Kinect workouts, but they were simply too rough on me, as I couldn't breathe right. Damn cold. I did about a 3rd, something like ten minutes, and I was coughing and couldn't breathe. I had to let it go.

It felt great though, to be doing something. I will definitely be doing more. I just wish exercise wasn't so damn boring to me.

Later on, I will simply go for a long walk. The alternative today is to sit at home all day, then go on skype with the family, and then have guests over for dinner. No moving at all.

So I will try to put in an hour's walk or so. Let's see what happens. This also depends on the weather.

I will be going in a few hours, when the stores are open. We need milk, and most of the stores in Denmark are closed today, the holidays and all. So I will have to wait for a little local store to open (in about two hours) and then walk there on the way. That's fine. I can do that. I just hope it won't start raining.

I already entered my breakfast and my dinner in my Diet Calendar. It shows that if I stay right there, it'll be 619 calories. Well, well, well, I just realized I COULD opt to simply settle for that, and make today a LOW CAL DAY. Maybe I should? I can handle skipping lunch, especially if I am out walking, activating myself. The only tricky part is gonna be the sweets that our guests are bringing tonight. They're hard to resist. However, I also know that once I taste it, I'm gonna want more, and I'll be in trouble. It's probably a LOT easier to simply say no thanks. Let's aim for that.

So, today - until further notice - is a Low Cal Day. Let's try to do this.

So what did I get for Christmas?

I got a nice book from Daughter - it's a biography of Jesper Binzer, who is the singer of a good old Danish rock band called D-A-D (posterchild66 knows 'em!), I got a couple of blu-ray movies (Shaun Of The Dead and The Walking Dead season 2!) and an awesome Deep Purple t-shirt! I love it all!

But even more important - I got green light on ordering my second speaker cabinet for my bass gear! Woohoo! I just need to wait for my next paycheck to do this!

This is a purchase that goes a little beyond the "shop comfortably without consulting spouse" category, and with Christmas coming up and all, it hasn't really been on the priority list, not for me either. But it's something I've really wanted to do, and if the money looks okay for me in a few days, then I'm gonna go ahead and order, I think.

I'm really looking forward to be able to rattle the house even more!

So, it's back to hanging with Wife in a few. We're probably gonna watch a movie, and then I'm off for my walk!

Today I'm thankful for:
- Wife being a super wife. Love you babe!
- The Christmas loot!
- Morning coffee!
- Waking up early!
- Christmas break!
- Low Cal Day!

Merry Christmas! Life is good!
