Nettie83856's Journal, 11 December 2012

I have been heavy for a while now. I have been keeping track of my food intake, & it seems like I am starving myself. When I look @ the calorie count, etc. - the numbers are so small. I have also been exercising way more than I have in YEARS. I would think that the pounds would slide off. But, I know I have to be patient. I just want to be thinner.

Hang in there! It will get better! If you feel you are starving, try adding food "volume". That is what I do - it seems like I eat constantly, but I am eating carrots, celery, fat free popcorn, etc. It really helps. I never would have made it through the past 4 months (30+ pounds off) without crunchy, filling, volume foods.

If you are looking for effective exercise in a small amount of time, look into burst training. I have been logging my routine on www.johnsmind.com and have links to helpful information such as cortisol and the science of building muscle. Creating lean muscle also burns calories after the exercising is done. A New Beginning is week one at http://www.johnsmind.com/index... I am now in week 21 with my weight down and muscle and energy up. I have been doing weekly video updates with the ups and downs. I know it helps me and I hope it helps others. On the Exercises List page is a link to a video that is helpful when considering burst training: The Math of Burst Training vs. Cardio. Good luck on your progress.

It will come off! My first month I think I lost 10 lbs, I was so happy...but then recently it took just over 2 weeks to loose 4 lbs. So I guess the weight doesn't always come off like we'd want, but overtime it will and you'll be so glad you stuck with it!! :)
