Just broken my 40 hour fast. Mixed Vegetable burger, avocado pear, home made hummus and peppadews. Feeling amazing! #feelgoodfood #onwardsandforwards

Wow, 40 hour fast is Goals🙌🏾 I’m a KETO newbie, started 3rd Jan and have lost almost 7,5kg despite a wedding, 2 birthdays (including my own) and one business cocktail where I went off Keto. I’m starting to get back into the swing of things on 8/16 intermittent fasting but I struggle with headaches (which I assume to be hunger headaches?) although my stomach is fine. Any advice ?

Gqibelo...wow that is incredible weight loss. Well done! Keto can be quite severe but for some it is like a silver bullet. The headaches are your body detoxing and getting used to the new w.o.e. Your kidneys will be chucking out a lot more salt..so be sure to keep up your water. Try and have a glass of water with a tbsp of dissolved pink Himalayan salt. If you feel very grotty have some butter or a tbsp of healthy fats of your choice. A salty broth will also help. @Debbie Cousins... Thank you for the compliment.

Thank you both for your advice, much appreciated🤗 It’s a funny thing being hungry in the head, and having a headache while my tummy is not hungry and is fine 🤷🏽‍♀️ But I’m taking it a day a time and learning everyday

MScotten...yes it really makes a big impact. I'm sleeping through a big chunk of it so it's not that hectic. Thnx for the compliment re: the food :)

@Mandys195 I suggest doing research in the intermittent fasting (IF) and Keto lifestyle to better understand it and then plan for it. On YouTube I’d suggest watching a few videos by KenDBerry and Dr Eric Berg and Dr Sudano. In terms of keto cooking ideas, I’d recommend www.ruled.me and FatForWeightloss and Headbangers Kitchen on YouTube. There’s PLENTY info on YouTube but take the time to understand it for yourself first. IF and Keto Do Work! All the best to you 🙌🏾

@Ronel927 start slowly...research 5:2 online...watch a documentary called Eat, fast and live longer by Dr Moseley. You will find it on Vimeo. Dr Jason Fung is another expert. He's written some great books and you will find info online as well as You Tube video's. Equip yourself mentally so you know exactly what it's all about including all the health benefits. The weight loss excuse the pun is just the cherry on top. I have to add a disclaimer, this w.o.e. is not recommended for somebody who has eating disorders. Good luck!
