Miraculum's Journal, 29 January 2019

HOLDING at 219.5 lbs., 25 pounds lost. The body has its reasons for functioning the way it does. Apparently, there are mysteries I have not mastered yet! [sigh] I guess the body just needs to adjust every so often, especially with the amount of weight I've lost in such a relatively short time.

I tend to be obsessive about a lot of things, and weighing myself is one of them. (When I'm bingeing, I totally ignore the scale, of course!) I'm learning not to let the number on the scale affect my focus and discipline. For instance, I'm only weighing once a day now.

The other thing is that I've been missing the mark on my "minimum fiber quota" (20g) lately. I need to put that back into my food plan to keep things moving. However, constipation hasn't been a problem eating this way. Still, "blowing out the jets" can only do me good!

I've been watching a lot of reputable people on YouTube on the keto program. One is Dr. Westman from Duke University. I think he's the one who said that the weight will come off but it will more like a set of stairs than straight down, which sounds like what you're saying. What you say makes a lot of sense.
