Took the plunge, and got a fitness watch which was highly recommended for my needs. Excited to see what my new toy is capable of doing.

@Thandiwe...It's got a floating GPS, so it counts everything...your daily steps, walking, running, cardio and biking.

I hear you Wendy7tee, the struggle is real. If I can give you one piece of advice and this is something I've been trying since the new year, and that is to plan healthy snacks and also not to keep the hectic stuff in the house. You would have to be really desperate ( I think?) to climb in your car to get chips and chocs etc...well this has been my philosophy. The trick is not to feel deprived. Know that weekends are treat times but just choose your treats wisely. :)

@Wendy7tee - There is a healthier substitute for just about everything. Instead of fried potatoe chips, you can make roast turnip or baby marrow chips. If you do a search on Google for vegetable chips, you will get a ton of idea's. A small portion of mixed nuts is good or a bowl of stove topped popcorn..but pop in coconut oil..no more than 3 tbsp of kernels in the pot. Avoid microwave popcorn, it is full of gmo's. Greek yoghurt with some chopped fruit, and chia seeds.. Smoothie. Protein shake. You can even find recipe's online for low cal, sugar free ice lollies. I hope I have given you some idea's. Try and plan your snacks through the week so that come the weekend you have a plan in place. Good luck :)
