kingkeld's Journal, 12 October 2012

Good morning, Fatsecret.

I decided to go to work before writing my journal today.

Today is the last day before my three week vacation, and I wanted to finish up things early, and leave early!

This means that in about 3½ hours, I will of off for weeks! Nice!

Yesterday went well. Wife did the most amazing cakes for a little early halloween gathering at work. She did an awesome kitty litter cake, and a dirt cake that looked just like a potted flower.

She had the whole building laughing, and it was a HUGE confidence boost for her. I'm glad she opted (I made her) stay to see the reactions!

I had a smallish portion, and did find avoiding more of it.

Foods were good all over.

I decided to NOT weigh in today. I am sick and tired of my scale. It just ticks me off when ever I get on it - it's the same damn weight I lose and gain over and over.

So I will simply do as good as I can, keep up my exercise most days and count on this benefitting me. As long as I don't have a calorie surplus, I will be fine, and as long as I exercise more then I will lower the risk of that surplus happening.

I have decided that I will (have to) spend some time dedicating to exercise during my vacation. I know I'll be prone to NOT move enough if I don't make some conscious choices.

Also, we're gonna be traveling for a week, and I don't want to gain too much from this. This is actually the first real vacation since I started losing weight. I'm curious how I'll do. One of the challenges will be that I will NOT have internet access on my phone, unless I find WIFI spots. So it will be a challenge to record meals on fatsecret.

I will simply have to wing it, and be cautious. Maybe this is a healthy exercise, really. Get in the groove of weening off. :)

We will be exploring Paris by food. This should take care of exercise. I count on 6-8 hours of standing and walking daily. I doubt that I need much more.

So, there it is for today. Duty calls.

Today I am thankful for:
- VACATION!
- VACATION!
- VACATION!

Life is good!

I love your typos. Exploring Paris by foot or food? Lets hope by foot, then you will have better odds of losing weight! Have an awesome time, it sounds exciting. I hear disneyland there is very affordable, and have even done the research. The issue for me, is getting there (airfare). I too fear vacations, while looking forward to the challenge. Now that I bike so much, I want to check out bike tours when I travel. Usually they are geared for easy riders. Maybe there is one in Paris?

If you can get the fatsecret app you can still log your foods without wifi. Hope you have a wonderful vacation & best of luck to you!

I have the app, but honestly don't wanna run around looking for WIFI. Not gonna bother. I'll have WIFI at night at the hotel (I think), but that still makes it useless. Onle proper way to log food is BEFORE you eat. After would make it too late and useless. Not gonna go hungry for dinner in a vacation spot, because I ate too much earlier. Then I'd rather go over, deal with it, and have a good vacation. :) And we probably WILL explore by food. lol. Well spottet.

I went to Paris the first time with my BF, when we were 22 years old. Her mother gave us one only advice: "Don't eat too much!!!"
