Revaudrey's Journal, 16 December 2018

here's my kvetch:

I have been faithful to a "6 Day Diet" for 7 months, now, in which I exercise faithfully 5 days a week, keep calories around 1400, don't eat much bread or pasta or rice, etc. and I have been losing steadily. (On Sundays I enjoy a couple glasses of wine and some ice cream, but keep everything pretty much the same.) BUT it is a very slow loss and I am absolutely STUCK 3 lbs. from my goal weight. What gives? I am so frustrated. I know that my life will not be substantially different once I lose 3 more lbs, but it is my stubbornness that won't let me give up. I fear that my metabolism has ground to a halt. Post-menopausal weight loss is hard.

I hear you Rev! It's the achievement of the goal!. I have been doing really well at the gym recently but I slipped over last night and twisted my knee so felling a little worried about what it's going to be like for the next couple of weeks.

Try a no wine or ice cream week. That should do it. One or two weeks should do the trick. Or embrace your current weight. ❤️
