Funny story: they rebranded in September to just "WW"... apparently mentioning weight loss is bad for business ;)

I noticed that when I looked them up to get the year it was founded. Funny.

It sort of reminds me of AA or NA; group talk, etc. How many points for PB(peanut butter) BTW? I always was dumbfounded with WW and their point system. And yes, a system like this has been around longer then Atkins had a diet book released.

It's about 50 calories per point. 74 points for me, woohoo! :P

I can't count so this would not be effective.....just need a calorie counting site and then I avoid using it anyway....muahahahahaha

Those people don’t understand that with time tummy does adapt to smaller portions. So after a while the “diet” becomes the norm

All one has to do is not go to old ways, easy when your not playing games and you know exactly what you want.

I considered WW actually. But if I have to count points then I may as well count calories, eat my own food and save money ;).

Rosio, it took me about a month tog we used to smaller portions but I find after a week that my body is already sued to larger portions again 😳. Funny how it stretches faster than it shrinks haha. Kinda like losing weight. It generally goes on faster and easier than it comes off.

I've known a lot of people who have done weight watchers. It is basically calorie counting, which we can do here for free! Yay FS!

Absolutely correct. The accountability is with the weekly weigh-in. You even get little rewards to keep you motivated along with the pep talk given by the group leader. There are many of us who have done WW. The problem with the program, you forget the accountability part when you don't attend the meetings. Look at Oprah. She even owns a percentage of the corporation.

Oh, that's why I am here. I know what to do. Don't need the rewards and definitely don't need to pay for my weight loss.

You can’t eat fast food and get a body like that. I got my body through those ab wraps and shake weights. 😂😂😂

Pretty sure Diablo would disagree on the fast food. He eats pizza and donuts and the like quite often ;).

my mom had me do WW as a kid and I hated it, mostly because I still didn't have control over my own food at home and was expected to just lose it without any support! but it's definitely successful for a reason. my current journey has been successful I believe because I am in control of my own food now and that helps me feel control in other ways in my life 😊
