Day 3 of a planned 5 day ‘no solid food’ fast
Blood sugar 104 mg/dL

31 pushups 2019 PUSH UP Challenge!

I am surprised I am losing weight so fast. The only reason I would want to lose weight slowly is that I am trying to establish a way of eating that is sustainable for the rest of my life.

However, for me, this is impossible. One of the most obvious things is that my body changes. Eating and exercise that worked for me at 200lbs no longer works for me at 170lbs. Also, what worked for me at 40 does not work for me at 50.

So when losing weight, I try to do it as fast as possible so I stay motivated.

Keeping the weight off? Well it appears that is a 'circular process' of gaining and losing over and over again.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

what ever you are doing is working, maybe it is all that extra muscle burning more calories!

Sorry, every time I see that you don’t eat solid food gives me the chills. I would have the munchies constantly. Overall, good luck 👍

@baskington - Yes, it may be that I have more muscle and I can burn more carbs and calories. If this keeps up te next two weeks I will go with that :)

Are you fasting? I clean fast every day for a minimum of 20 hours but typically longer. Today I did 24 hours, ate for 20 minutes and started fasting again. I feel terrific and have energy I can not describe.

@srossca - I first spent weeks 'water fasting'. THAT takes 'mental effort'. When I started drinking 150-200 calorie protein shakes, that really fill you up, I was now 'living rich'. Later, I just got used to it. However, I have started chewing sugar free gum to help ease 'mental agitation' where I would normally want to 'chew on some food'. But, I know I do not need to 'consume calories'. I still have 15-20lbs of fat on my body that could stand to go away... But, a person has to be 'Motivated'. I am one of the people you see on this site that cannot-lose-weight. Unless you are one of us, it is hard to imagine how it feels to only drop 5lbs a year and then have to work hard just to do even that. For people like me, you *must* be willing to *take it to the next level* :)

@leecindy417 - Good luck on your fast! I lost my initial weight by mostly 'water fasting'. I got down to my BMI weight, but, I felt I looked 'skinny and frail'. I then started weight lifting to build bulk. This required me to gain and lose weight. When I am in the 'losing weight' phase I now allow myself to consume around 1,000 calories a day in protein drinks. I would not call this a 'true fast'. So, I call it a 'no solid food fast'.

@jenjabba - There is a "Push Up Challenge" I am a part of. You can only see the link if you view my post on the full website (not the mobile app). Otherwise you just see how many pushups I did that day. - - I have been stuck around 170lbs for months, If I want to get lower I am going to have to figure out what I can do differently...
