Day 4 of a planned 4 day sub 1000 calorie food intake to break this plateau.

Mon: Fat 43.99 - Net Carbs 107.61 Protein 19.2 - Calories 926
Tue: Fat 50.00 - Net Carbs 13.00 Protein 48.0 - Calories 874
Wed: Fat 69.16 - Net Carbs 140.19 Protein 74.0 - Calories 1619
Thu: In progress.

Wed 6 P.M. txt to me "I ordered Chinese food and yours is on the stove."
Wed 6:50 P.M. I'm home now holding the slightly warm food in my hand. I should put it in the fridge and bring it to work tomorrow because I'm close to my set limit of calories for the day.
Wed 6:59 P.M. Somehow, the food got in my belly. Oink, oink, oink
Logged EVERYTHING and moved on.

I can only eat 580 calories today to achieve my 4 day goal. I don't care if it's low. To me, it's a matter of discipline and self control.

Bumping up the calories Friday but still crunching the numbers.

Onward.

You still can eat a big 500 calorie meal, green salad and chicken breast and be satisfied, but it is up to you. Good luck!

Good job! If you logged everything I consider this a FULL Success. We have completed step one. Without it, I am not able to reach my goals. I am having an issue with how much heavy cream I am consuming. I am at the stage where I am just logging what I am consuming. I wont/can't make any changes until I look back at the 2 week data...

Why such “low” calorie amounts? I always used 1800 during the transformation period.

You do YOU, brother... you do YOU! [cheers, lighters out, swaying, loud whistling, throwing inappropriate objects at the stage...]

Hi @srossca, I am using a brief low calorie approach to break a plateau. I believe I am severely insulin resistant and looking to improve my insulin sensitivity. Tomorrow's calories will go up however after scrutinizing the 90 day data of a few others here (similar age and activity) I see clear patterns. 1600 - 1800 daily calories with avg of 75 net carbs and they consistently loss weight and didn't complain of low energy. I need to find my own sweet spot and will continue to self experiment. Trust me, I would rather 1800 calories for sure but I must break this plateau.

@srossca correction, they consistently "lost" weight

@srossca - That is why it is so important he track his numbers. Only when I started doing that did I realize that I cannot lose any weight if I consumed 1500 calories. People kept telling me I was 'damaging my metabolism' because I was not eating enough. However, once I had the numbers to show that I was able to lose just fine with under 1000 calories a day I made the change.

yes but don't you have carb cravings when you eat carbs?? I know fasting is generally not a problem when I have to do it, but I am not dealing with the carb monster being out. I don't know how you are doing it now, more power to you!

@baskington, I do. I eat carbs, I crave more. I eat meat, I am satisfied and can stop. Hmmmnnn. I may be onto something.

@Fritzy 22, I know better but the piggy couldn't wait. He's back in the cage today and I informed everyone at home not to tempt me tonight because I am almost at my goal!

Good for you Ches. I am the same way when I eat carbs. I just want more and more and no ending. I eat meat and I am quite happy to be done with my meal.
