Day 2 of a planned 11 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 108 mg/dL

πŸ‘ Decided it is time for an β€˜extended fast’. Instead of the usual 5 days, I "plan" to go 11 days! I have done this once before, but not with the electrolyte concentrate and drinking protein shakes throughout the day. This makes the 'fast' much easier.

😎 I will not put too much pressure on myself. I gained, what felt to me, like a massive amount of weight over the past three days (5 pounds!). I feel I must learn to still be happy, and tap into my gratitude that I know what I need to do to lose the weight, and that I have lost so much weight so far. Mostly, I must accept that I simply do not have control of my body. I can only work hard to 'influence' it.

πŸ§˜πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ This is a 'spiritual' issue for me. Either I am 'God' or I am not 'God'. If I am not 'God' I simply Do Not, and Cannot, 'Control' my body or anything in this world.

it was just water retention to me πŸ˜‰, I gained 6 pounds, but I know each body is different, I would not lose weight "eating- drinking your protein shakes" for too long , for me eating less than 1000 more than one week, just don't work πŸ˜•.

@keilin-4 - I agree that it was mostly 'water retention' (the water that comes with the glycogen storage), but, 'water retention' works both ways so depleting that glycogen and keeping it depleted is my goal :) - - I agree my diet would not do much for you because I don't think you have the amount of fat percentage on your body to lose that I do :)

What is your BF % ? I don't care about BMI. I think BF is most important, it's what doctors Oz. says, he says if you are skinny but your belly is still big, then you have to lose weight, because the fat around your belly is what makes you sick.

@keilin-4 - I have large hands, I can put both under my belly and lift it up and it feels like pounds of fat that hangs over my waist. This is my 'subcutaneous fat'. I also believe that I have 'visceral fat' to lose.

@keilin-4 - My Tanita scale claims I have anywhere from 15%-9% body fat. Depends on the time of day you ask it and what my water percentage is at the time :) My BMI is 163lbs.

Jumm! my scale is not really a accurate one, but it still helps me, when I started my journey at 147.4 lbs. I didn't know how to measure my body fat with it 😐 haha , but, when I learned, I was weighing around 124 lbs and my bf was 32% ,now, BF its between 19-20% also depends on the time of the day , so I have like 3% bf to lose. We will get there one day. We need perseverance, patience and hard work.

@keilin-4 - With most charts I see, the goal body fat percentage for women is usually different than for men :)
