...No significant change in weight again today...

Good morning, friends!

I had a great time out on the town with Wife yesterday. We did reasonably well on the calories, but we did splurge a bit here and there.

We got her checked out at the hospital, and it's all okay. Some changes in medicines are probably in order, but no real change. It's all good.

After we were done there, we went to have lunch. We went to our favorite little spot in the town we were in, and had a home made hamburger with oven fries. Not bad at all, and reasonably easy on the calories (for a burger with fries, that is...)

After eating, we walked around town and did a little window shopping, and I went shopping for my Band Creation class. We needed some cables, microphones and some other things, so I got that done. Oh, how I love shopping music gear for other people's money! :)

Other than that, it was a pretty eventless day, and that's a good thing.

I'm off from work today, and I'm gonna just relax. It was a rough day on me yesterday, it took a lot of energy. I can tell that I am better though, I can handle more than I have been able to lately. It's nice to consistently feel that I am getting back to normal.

Lately, I haven't seen any real change in my weight. I was hoping to lose some (a lot!) of fluid, and maybe some fat, this week, but nothing has really happened. I do see a physical change, though. I see that I look less bloated, and I am starting to get that "skinny bitch" look again that I like so much. :)

Wife took a couple of pictures while we were on the train, and I wanted to share with you:

I like these shots. I am back to how I looked before the surgery, and Wife looks stunning!

..now, if only I could get rid of those 8 kgs...! lol...

I do see some huge changes these last days, even if the scale doesn't show it:

- I generally feel better.
- The girdle I wear post-surgery is not as tight (I might need a smaller one!)
- My belt is a notch in! I now have two notches to go when I wear a girdle, one notch when I don't - to reach the notch I was in before surgery.

It's the little things that count, right?

Other than the fact that I weight too much according to my own ideals, I feel pretty good. I'm comfortable with my looks, but the weight does bother me.

I find it hard to REALLY get going, missing the energy. Sitting still makes me bored and I want to snack. It's a bad, bad combination. I wish I had more energy to go do stuff. I know, it'll come, but I really want it to come soon. Every day I am a little better though, and I just need to get there and tighten up.

Today, I am thankful for:

- VACATION! Off from work the rest of the week.
- A good night's sleep after a pretty active day yesterday.
- The best ice cream I've had in ages yesterday. Yes, I had it. I loved it. :)
- Wife. Wife. Wife.
- Missing out on cake day at work.

Life is good!

Great pics..... Maybe you are to hung up on what the scales say... (listen to me! - the one who has just gone back to calorie counting, cause she has put on 4 pounds LOL). It's how you feel that counts - and it could be it is just fluid - which doesn't counts :-). Glad you had a great day..... You both look fab

After what you've been through, I'll bet you'll always be self-conscious of your weight. But, that's probably a good thing. Keeps you in check. You just don't want to be obsessive about it. You look good. The energy will come back. Geez, you've been through the meat grinder!
