😉 the sooner you realize this the sooner you start to measure the food you eat and the faster you start losing weight 🙌🏼😏😉

If you read my bio, I used to lift 5x a week. I was pretty serious about it. I think a sudden change like completely stopping such strenuous activity might have play into weight gain. But thank you for your input!

Track calories. If you’re gaining weight on any diet, it’s because you eat more calories than you’re burning.

so you are not going to eat fish at all to help with your proteins?? I imagine that will be interesting to see how that effects your workouts. I had a harder time when my proteins were lower and I had to raise them up as I progressed. mine is heavier resistance not actual weight training, but I still need that.

Tracking macros/cals starts back up tomorrow. I took a 2 month break from this app, and am ready to get back to my grind. For now, no fish. I get my protein from beans, cheese, nuts, and organic fermented soy like Tempeh. I have given fish some thought... so if my lifting gets back to where it was previously I will likely have to include fish 3-4 times a week for protein and Omega-3’s. We will see :)

I’m overwhelmed with the sports and advice on this post. While it started as simply a way to vent about my self destructive thoughts, the feedback has put a way more positive mindset for me. THANK YOU 😭💕🤩

Wish I could do straight vegan or at least vegetarian but either one has too many carbs for me. Unless I live on only leafy veggies and stay off the beans/grains/cereals my blood sugar spikes. It will spike for hours with just 1/4 cup of oatmeal so I can't do vegetarian. I have to have more proteins and fat in my diet. A combo of fish, poultry, eggs, low carb veggies, berries, healthy oils work best for me. It's a slow weight loss but at least the lbs are coming off. If I find myself feeling weak/dizzy I up my carb count a little with a 1/4 serving of high carb veggies or a little fruit. I know people on the FS site all have to discover what works best for them and I appreciate everyone's input. Try out different ways of eating. There's no rule that you have to eat like anyone else. You need to experiment and discover what works best for you. Life circumstances may involve changes. Keep on trying and remember their're lots of very supportive souls here. Best of luck on your journey.😀

BlueFront you’re right vegetarian diet doesn’t work for everyone. Our bodies are different in response to changes we make. Sorry to hear about your blood sugar spikes, staying away from carbs must be hard. But so is staying away from meat! We got this :) For me I am experiencing horomone imbalance lately. Cutting out dairy helps me and I only intake small amounts of cheese/butter. If you have insulin resistance problems maybe you should research the vitamins and minerals that help with that. I think they are Zinc and Vitamin A or B6 but not 100% sure

#Aprillifts My doctor did tell me to take those extra vitamins you mentioned & I do, also I use cinnamon and stay away from high density carb foods. Carbs make me hungry and crave more. Protein plus some fats keep me full longer and slow fo e the cravings.

@bluefront oatmeal does the same for me. One serving and 30 min later I’m raiding my apt for cookies, bread, grapes, chips. List goes on. Oatmeal for me is a no go 😬
