Lovely. Are you using cookie cutters to !old them?

I really like them 😊

Thanks everyone!! Fishingwidow, I am using silicone molds. I finally got the correct ratio of glue to sand and cooking time this morning doing paw prints. I am so excited. I literally have been working on these for days. I am a candle/soap maker but am really enjoying making these. :)

Food isn't the only thing we should all be thinking of - thanks for the cool pics - those look great!

It IS food related. If you're working with your hands you're not eating! I just bought an embroidery kit for the same reason.

Seeing posts like this help some of us a break from food things. I personally enjoy seeing these types of posts. Do you sell them? I did craft shows for awhile but haven’t had time in the last 1-2 years.

Thank you peeprj. I sell my candles, melts, and soaps. I also do candle making parties. These are new to me. Going to give it a shot. I have bombed at 90% of the craft shows I have done. So last year I only did shows at local places that did not charge for tables. Worked out pretty good. It was a more local fee. What do you make?

I’ve bombed at our craft shows too lol. It’s hard to make money when our local shows charge $40-100 for a space anywhere from 6x6 up to 10x8. One was $100 for 20x8. I made hair bows and clips mostly for shows. Also make Barbie clothes and furniture. Made a Barbie house (4’ tall, 4’ wise and 14” deep) for the kids but it cost about $200 to make just for materials. Don’t think I could make and sell them with this economy! People complained the bows were too high... $5 for a stacked bow made from several sizes of ribbon 3-4 layers deep. Full price materials were about $3.50 to make those. I sold more $1-2 bows than anything and I had 25cents in most of the small ones so better percentage of profit but I’d have to sell a ton of them to make up booth fees :/. We also had candle holders, wands, fairy headbands etc. Those sell better outdoor but I am always busy when they have the outdoor one.

I’ve had a few we’re i broke even but lost money after buying food, one that I made $20 after paying for lunch and snacks(to support other vendors) and a few we broke even after buying food. Some of the shows here don’t allow you to bring in ANY food or drinks so you even have to buy $2 bottles of water from the vendor doing the food- usually the one hosting the show or a friend of the host. Easier and cheaper to just make stuff for my kids and their friends ;). Oh we make bracelets and necklaces too. The kids like to help.

Nice. Isn't it funny how cheap people are at these things? They have no idea of the cost and TIME that goes into it. Do you have a Facebook page dedicated to it? Would love to take a look. I am youcandleit on Facebook.

I have a FB page but I haven’t kept it up. Started it then all the health issues hit. It’s Lil Bow Peeps. I really need to dig those boxes out and see about selling some things on there and posting everything we have. First I have to finish sorting and donating all our baby things, then organize the house that hasn’t really been done in 2 years and then I can work on the craft room and crafts again lol. Yes people go there and expect quality hand made items at Walmart prices. I look for a good deal too but I also know handmade items are better quality and last longer than Walmart stuff so will pay more for it.

Around here I can’t even make money at a flea market! Everyone tries to haggle on prices and I’ve even showed some my lost that has costs for materials, time and profit I’d like. They still want to pay less than the materials or just the material costs :/. I took garage sale stuff once and people thought $1 was too high for a pair of jeans that looked brand new :/. They were $36 at old navy originally and I’d outgrown them. $35 off of a basically new pair of jeans was a good deal to me lol.

well hopefully you kept them as one day they will fit

I put them back for my oldest. Size 1 or 2 I think. After 3 kids I don’t think my hip bones will ever be narrow enough to fit them again :/. But she’s in a 0-2 now so I need to dig them out. I bought 8’s and at one point they were getting tight(1 pair of 10’s with no stretch I couldn’t get past my knees lol). Now I can fit in all of my size 6’s stretch or not. I’d like to get to the 5’s as I have a TON of them because that’s what I wore mostly from 2000-2010, before that was 3’s but I was also a teenager pre kids then. I can feel my hip bones now (before I couldn’t feel them through the layer of fat) and they don’t seem to have moved any since the last kiddo in 2014 :/.
