Lil bounce up. Nothing major ! Been taking iron because I have chronic low ferritin levels 😭. Need more beef and fat!
240.4 lb Lost so far: 59.6 lb.    Still to go: 60.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Beef: it’s what’s for dinner! Didn’t you know that?? ;) Little bumps up and down don’t seem to matter much as long as it doesn’t keep going up :).

Beef? So simple right ?! I just need to keep up with that. I’m off whack and it’s funny sometimes that my body is good for a few days with changes and they it says nope! No more weight loss. My body is sneaky and I’m constantly on my toes!

I take iron too. Low ferritin caused restless leg which affected my sleep. One iron tab a day has really helped! I don’t eat meat, so I guess I should have realized I needed more iron.

I’m hoping the vitamins I’m taking don’t have carbs in them. I’ve been testing the past few days and I’m getting low results. Today I have literally had 9 carbs and I’m still showing low amounts 🤔

Gummy and chewable vitamins have carbs but any you swallow I think are <1 or 0. Mine say 0 but the gummies do have 3-4 carbs.

@peeper I don’t eat gummies at all so I’m in the clear there. But I know there could be sneaky carbs all over the place. The last few days I have consumed an Atkins bar. I wanted to see if it caused issues and I felt bloated af. Could be why I’m feeling blah

@G_ortegam Be leary of the Atkins bars and Atkins products in general. I promote Atkins hard core but only the 1972' version. The online Atkins is totally different than what Dr. Atkins created. The products they sell have hidden sugars and count net carbs only. The could throw you out of ketosis. I learned that the hard way before I realized they were different.

Do you all know if the sugar alcohols have a negative effect on blood sugar or our bodies in general? I have two boxes of them. I’ve tried the Carmel chocolate ones and love them as they are similar to a Carmelo. Haven’t eaten the turtle ones yet. To my knowledge sugar and carbs don’t affect me. I can eat as much candy or bread as I want as long as I’m still in a deficit and be fine. I’ve only eaten one small piece at a time, 3 spread over two weeks I think. Was considering using them in place of my twice monthly snickers as it saves me 110 calories lol. But maybe 3 at once might not be a good thing.

@peeperjj They can affect the blood sugar and your body in ketosis as well. Just depends on the person. I am very sensitive and it does effect mine. @Baskington is another person on here that has high sensitivities. We learn by testing what we can eat and how it effects us. Everyone is different so it may not affect you. Same as net carbs versus ttl carbs. I have to go by ttl. I notice a big difference between 10 ttl carbs and 10 net carbs within my body.

@mj for sure. Thanks for the heads up. I’m literally trying different things in order to figure out my body. It’s been difficult figuring it out. My body seems to like ketosis and low carbs. I feel like it runs more efficient.

Thanks. I may have to experiment... a coupe days with a full serving of Atkins then a few days with nothing then a few with ‘real’ sugar candy then nothing. Journal what I feel like (in my notebook not on here) and see what happens. May wait a bit though as I want to cut calories again soon.

Wow good reading in all these posts! Don’t believe I’ve ever been in full ketosis but feel like I need to purchase some strips and go there! Just held carbs to 50-100 per day. You tube is saying guy like my body size should keep cutting and get leaned out prior to bulking up.
