Day 3 of planned 3 days of eating

Well my theory held out, for one day at least. I hoped that if I kept my carbs <20 that I would not gain weight on my current 'refeed' after 5 days of fasting. I am going to try to do the same today and then start a 5 day fast on Monday.

When I did eat yesterday, I was not eating 'mindfully'. My actions, my brain, my spirit, was in a mode of 'giveme!, giveme!, giveme!'. My only thoughts were 'Fill me up! Now!'. After so much fasting I would hope I would know how destructive this attitude is and would have 'improved'.

Perhaps the fasting has allowed me the perspective to at least 'really see it'?

Anyway, as I plan to start what may be my last 5 day fast for awhile (my weight is getting too low to fast for that long). Instead of just thinking "Lose Weight Lose Weight" I want to appreciate that my body is able to sustain me and provide what I need without taking in anything 'extra' other than liquids.

When I do break the fast, I need to appreciate the nourishment that I am 'gifted' to receive, rather than 'taking it for granted'.

However, for today @PrincessValerie is making ribs! (Gotta love Keto...)

@baskington - The hard part is controlling my eating until dinner tonight :( I am going to try to not eat any solid food until 3:00pm today. If I can't manage to do that, the-day-is-totally-lost (I may go into a 'eating binge' that can spiral out of control until dinner). I plan to do a 7 mile run in an hour and that should help a lot. :( Eating days are hard for me :(

@Draglist - I'm fine when fasting. The ghrelin (hunger hormone) is not an issue. But once I am on an 'eating' day I have 'mental' (out of control) food issues :( So, no I don't think it is an actual physical hormone issue, just me being me (sigh).

** Update ** I just did a 7 mile run in the 91 degrees SoCal heat (average heart rate 160 for 01:18 minutes for 1,371 calories burned). I get home and jump on the scale and see I dropped 4 pounds of water weight. The key I think was that I took a MASSIVE (and I mean MASSIVE) amount of "Hi-Lyte Electrolyte Concentrate". So much that my stomach hurt after I took it, and I had to wait 1/2 an hour for my stomach to settle down before I did the run. I also did the run 16 hours fasted (a run like this is not a time to have food in the stomach!). However, with the "Hi-Lyte Electrolyte Concentrate" I had no ill effects and felt fine the entire time.

@Draglist - Good luck on your fast! While you were on vacation my wife went on Keto and turned my refeeds from weight gaining days to weight maintaining days and this weekend it may have a weight loss! :)

Thank you for your support you have mine too. I do not fast I flow a combination of Keto and low calories intake
