Good Thursday morning!

It's ALMOST the end of the work week. I am so ready for it to be over and for the weekend to come.

Yesterday did in pretty much any way possible NOT go according to plan, but it was okay.

First off, my practice with my new band got canceled. BOOOO! I guess sometimes logistics just don't work in our favor, and having 3-4 people on the same page, AND arranging to book at room at the school where we play and for me to be able to get my bass amp from The Black Peanut rehearsal room is not always gonna work out - and this was one of those days.

I gotta say I was very disappointed. I had - as you know - really been looking forward to playing. It's my favorite thing to do, and this new getup is really exciting for me.

So, after being done with being severely annoyed, and communicating everything to everyone, I decided to have a great evening with Wife.

Some of you might remember that we wanted to go eat "stegt flæsk med persillesovs" a few weeks back, but couldn't go because of us not book a table. Well, we booked a table yesterday. This is a weekly special on Wednesdays, and I figured we could do that instead.

The food tasted good, but it was way too greasy for us. Fortunately this kept me from going all crazy on it. Unfortunately, it kept me on the can for quite a bit of time throughout the night. Bummer. It'll be quite a while before I go there again, if ever.

Afterwards - I guess because of my disappointment not playing music, or maybe just because I haven't had any candies and other baddies all week - I really wanted candy. I remembered that the local candy shop actually has sugar free candy. I have never tried it until yesterday. I bought a large hand full, to satisfy the cravings for candy, but not give in to the sugar monster.

It actually tasted very good, it was 90% like the real thing, and I was fine with it. I might have it another time. Of course, there are probably a gazillion other things in the candies that aren't good for me, but I think I'll survive. It's not something I want to do every day, but in a pinch on a day where I really want something - this might work.

So, today I am going to work a little late. I want to stay late, but remain on my 5 hour work day that I have agreed on this week. My plan is to go home at 3 PM after the cake gathering (where I will be eating fruit!), so I will go to work at 10. Then lunch at 12:00 to 12:30, and my cake (fruit!) break at 2:30. I can handle that. ,

My food today will be a little heavy on the bread. I always eat rye bread for breakfast - it fills me up superbly and gets me ready for the day.

My lunch is usually leftovers from last night's dinner. However, there are no left overs today, as we went out to eat yesterday. I just did an easy fix which is two slices of rye bread with a little bit of paté, and half a cucumber on the side.

As a snack at work I have the other half cucumber.

Dinner? Daughter and Wife wanted burgers yesterday, as we all thought I wouldn't be home. So burgers are on tonight. I will simply just have the patty with bread and a few fixins, but no chips or heavy dressings. I'll keep it clean and simple.

Add to that probably a smoothie at some point - maybe in the evening.

I have been adding the same smoothie for days now, and I always end up taking it off again, as I don't get around to making it - mostly because I don't need it. That's a good thing. I still add it every morning, so I know that I have the calories booked for it if I want it. If I don't have it, I can always remove it and/or replace it with something else. I kind of like having 250 cals booked "just in case". It's a lot easier to NOT have "just in case" situations without my sugar stuff, though. :)

...

Much to my surprise, my weight is down again today, by 600 grams. I would have thought that it'd be up after the restaurant visit yesterday - the meat we had it pretty salty, though they didn't drench it in salt like the do some places, thankfully. Then again, my repeated nightly potty breaks might have fully compensated. :/

So today I am at 83.9 kgs, which is a whopping 5.1 kgs down from Sunday morning. I'm amazed how big a difference it makes to my well being. I can literally tell that I am lighter. I feel that I am not dragging my feet the same way.

I can see a difference in my face. On each side of my mouth (right on the sides of my imaginary mustache) I have two skin folds. I guess they're excess skin after the weight loss, but not something I'd have removed, I think. Please, no surgery in my face. Anyways, I can tell that they are becoming more pronounced, and can see it many other places on my body.

I still have PLENTY of liquid I need to get rid of, though. My hips and thighs are all squishy like water balloons.

Also, the little cut that Lady Surgeon did last week is still oozing. I'm amazed that it can keep going, but I suppose it'll keep going as long as the cut is open and as long as there is fluids that wants out.

The cut is slowly closing though. She cut two times, one larger than the other (but both pretty small cuts), and the smaller one is gone already. I'm curious how the buildup will be after it closes?

It's not like a LOT is coming out, but I do have a piece of compression gaze on the cut, and it's drenched whenever I change it - which is usually a few times every day. Something IS coming out. It's not infected though, and even if it's gross it doesn't look "unhealthy", if that makes sense.

Anyways, I can tell that I'm babbling. :)

Today I'm thankful for:
- Going to work late. Long morning for me! Yaaaay! I will probably do an extended bass practice. :)
- Morning coffee.
- Mobile internet on my tablet. The world's best tool for long, late night potty visits.
- Wife for taking good care of me on a disappointing day yesterday.

Hopefully we'll be rocking in no time!

Have an amazing day! We get to choose our attitudes, so choose a cool one! Life is good!

Hehe, I had my concerns about your schedule yesterday, sorry it blew up like that. Your regimented pal, take it easy brah! I just realized I read your journal, and they are just the right length for me to eat my cereal! Nice! And watch out! that sugar free candy can have gastronomic issues with some people because of the sugar alcohol, it makes me fart for sure. Man 10lb in a week sounds good, I need some of that greasy dutch food!

LOL... maybe THAT's what's making me gassy. I play both bass and "trumpet" today. :) Oh, and I do try to make my journals cereal friendly. :)

Yeah, Pam, it was too bad. I am a little concerned as I see that it might be hard to find days where everyone who wants to be/should be involved can actually meet and play. I hope it works out.

And JP, you're not the first to mistake Dutch and Danish. It's a common mistake "you Americans" make. :)
