Been working outside in the sun. A lill Enlightened Coffee ice cream with Keto chocolate cake is exactly what I need :D

we tried the enlightened ice cream this week. It was BOGO, so said go ahead. I also got the coffee hubby got the chocolate with peanut butter. This make a good go too. Didn't knock me out of ketosis either.

I find doing stuff like that for me personally just spikes me out of control and to just wanting tons of sweets I'm trying to stay on a good keto diet and when I go and eat something chocolatey or cakey or something like that I just want a carb Crush and eat tons of carbs but if it works for you that's awesome I'm glad that there's things like out that out there for you keep pushin keto's great I have epilepsy and it's helping me lose it

Tee&Gizmee, don't quite understand the part of your comment about keeping keto, you are a high carb eater, keto is just the opposite, it is 20 net carbs. and yes if you have a hard time with sweets it is tempting. with us once we are fat adapted our treats are not sugar based we eat no sugar, no refined flours etc. ours are made mostly of fat and extremely low carb ingredients. I am glad whatever diet you are on is helping you though.

I'm NOT GOING THERE LOL! I looked at the recipe for the cake, what did you sweeten it with? It's not in the ingredients. that ice cream had to many carbs for me because I can't eat a teaspoon hahaha. enjoy.

Today was an ice cream day for me, too: strawberry cheesecake with a little hot fudge. I'm good for another month, LOL! When you haven't had sugar in awhile it's like BOOM.

where did you find her recipe all I saw was the journal entry and diet food entries. when we make these deserts they don't get sugar. they may get artificial sweetner.

Baskington I went to her food journal and clicked on cake, it brings you to nutritional value page and in the center half down are ingredients she put in. Cake is always sweet, but what sweetener is up to that person. I was just curious.

I’ve been so insanity busy today! Sorry its taken me so long to reply. The recipe for the cake is from gnom-gmom and I used xylitol to sweeten. I didn’t add it to the log because FS doesn’t recognize the sugar alcohols. I’m afraid to say that even though the Keto friendly desserts don’t kick me out of Keto but they do awaken my binge desire. I didn’t notice it at first. But I’ve had Keto desserts almost every day for like 5 days I think and I really haven’t thought about eating anything else and I’ve belatedly aten any veggies. Luckily i have developed some self control but it sucks knowing I’m not over my carb addiction yet :( I don’t know if I ever will be able to just eat carbs like most other ppl :(

yes I am pretty much the same, I have been sticking to the non real deserts, I have been leery to go to much into the awesome things that you have been making. the fat bombs are smaller and fit into my fat needs. just enough of a treat that satisfies my urge for chocolate. I could pig out on them all day if I went crazy and it would not effect my diet. safer for me.

May I suggest TO ALL KETO PEEPS, DO NOT USE XYLiYOL! It WILL impact your glucose levels over 50% is digested. In "KETO CONNECT" YouTube video "Ultimate Guide To Low Carb Sweeteners" ( a must watch) they tested their ketone and glucose levels after testing a ton of sweeteners. In this video at 8:50. They did xylitol. Their blood glucose was impacted the most, and both of them had rises of 25 pts. How this product can get away with saying no impact is a total joke. That's my PSA for today! I hate big Parma lies and big food lies. Keto on. If not keto you might as well just use good ol sugar!

Oh my GOD Jenjaba you are right!!! I watched that video and then completely forgot about it!! I tested my ketones after eating the treats the first time and it went from 3.4 to 3.0 but little changes like that happen while fasting so I thought nothing of it. I have been eating it basically everyday since I made it and I noticed yesterday that I’ve been thinking/ obsessing over it. Crap!

did you use that product?? I have seen it is good with baking, but leery of it. I have tried the monkfruit in a recipe and I don't know how I feel about that one. It does have erythritol, which I am not a fan of. 4 gr sugar alcohols per teaspoon. I used like 1/2 teaspoon in a fat bomb recipe for like 10 bombs. I do not like stevia with chocolate. or at least not my powdered organic one. I made new ones last night and did not add anything just the recipe, no sweetener. I had the chocolate stevia liquid and decided no to use it.

Chris I use to be addicted to mints but had to give them up since each one has a carb and I was eating 20+ a day. Baskington I used xylitol earlier this week because that is what the recipe recommended. It warned that stevia was gross with chocolate lol and erythritol has a strong after taste. I usually use erythritol. The cooling effect is annoying. The xylitol is amazing. No aftertaste at all and now I know why!! It basically half sugar :( I’d like to try monkfruit next. I spent half the day baking stuff to take with me on vacation. I used erythritol in the same flax muffins I made the other day and they aren’t as good. Not very sweet and you can really taste the flax flavor unlike when using the xylitol.

You can buy allulose now, that will interesting. I'll let all you experiment lol. Erythratol tastes metallic to me. I still use sucrose sucralose, but I bought the concentrated stuff with no added martocrap. I'll give it up eventually. Currently only use in coffee
