I just don't get it. To each his own, I'm fine with that. But some of the diet methods people use seem like punishment to me. Fasting, keto, vegan, tofu, cleanses, and especially the meals that have odd ingredients that just don't look good. I'd never criticize a meal shown in a post, (there are so many really nice people here) but some of the photos; I'm like "no way" would I eat that. Oh well, to each his own, but I'm just so never going to eat in a way that feels like punishment. Those folks aren't wrong, just braver than I.

One thing's for sure: each person has to find what works for them. The goal is the same, pretty much...good health and the best body you can reasonably manage. And then lock it down and keep is all in check going forward. We can't go back to whatever it was that made us fat. Sure, for me it was a lot to do with my thyroid, but I still LOVE food and darn I could eat a BIG bowl of ice cream. But I won't.

If you can follow portion control and moderation in all things you can eat a way in which no food or food group is ever forbidden. Some people really struggle with being able to do that.

Jipper you never said a truer word "each person has to find what works for them". I think this is the key. If it works for you, who cares what anyone else thinks or advocates. Eating breakfast doesn't work for me, portion control doesn't work for me but somehow, after donkey years, I've managed to stumble onto a WoE that does work for me, no form of punishment regime just keep a wee eye on calorie intake. I'm just so happy when people find their own way that works.

I count my calories works for me I enjoy various foods and always have I also drink wine almost every night and still control my weight, but let’s not forget not all diets are about vanity to lose weight or gain size some people use different diets for health issues or prescription the Keto diet as I understood it was used to treat epilepsy in children keeping their blood sugar down as well as controlling weight. Everyone does what’s right for them.

Fasting and vegan give you so much energy, that you wouldn’t never want to back to burgers 😁 I’m in the gym 5 times a week plus yoga and still full of energy. People who following raw diet and fructorians must to be real energisers 😂 but it’s too high level for me, right now I’m not getting this, same as you not getting fasting etc 😁 we’re all the same in this 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I'm definitely a believer that loosing weight needs to be long term, so I'm on a diet that can last me for the rest of my life.
