15 lbs down since April 20 when I was shocked into doing something again. Watching what I ate was not enough. I need to write things down. I realized that fat may have been the culprit. I didn't eat many carbs. I rarely ate sweets or had more than a glass or two of wine a week, but I was not looking at fat. I am convinced that not having a gall bladder affects what happens with fat, although I have seen no studies to blame that surgery on weight gain. I also, as mentioned in my previous journal, am about 5 to 8 lbs less that the number there because of my titanium hip. So at just about a lb a week if I am lucky, I should be down another 15 lbs by the time I go back to my permanent residence on Long Island.

It sounds like you're doing really well. I know that for me logging my food has been eye-opening. I try to get that little pie chart in sync every day! Continue your good work!

Thank you! I am trying but if you eat what you are allowed, it might be difficult to lose weight when you are 70 as I am with some physical conditions which make vigorous exercise impossible. I find I really need to watch those carbs. I can eat them, but have to keep low. I remember years ago, when first on WW, I had to eat the lower end of the program or I did not lose, and I was 36 years younger.
