abbadabba's Journal, 22 June 2018

My pants are tight today. Not drinking enough water to flush out the fluid build-up. Working on refocusing, and part of that has to be putting the parties on the calendar food-wise so that I limit the pre-party calories.
I can't eat the breads anymore. I just have to limit those completely. They don't help me fulfill my plan.
Grieving the loss of some furniture, which is kinda sad in more ways than one, but my current reality. I found those things by the side of the road, and now I have to give them up to a better home than they will have with me. They are like pets to me but I don't have the kind of life that can sustain 5 sofas and several armchairs in one living space.
Cleanse day two is a fail - will pick up tomorrow, because I realize that I can totally drop 2 pounds by July 1 if I execute properly. Maybe it was the wasp bite, but I have not felt well all week, looking forward to getting it together over the weekend.
Company coming Thursday means real cleaning this weekend. Really making progress with that already, so hopefully will get done by Sunday night, even with hanging out with friends.
Happy Friday at last!

I applaud your cleaning and paring down your stuff. I have started doing it, with my roommate's help, but for me it is really emotional and i can only do a little at a time.

@jengetfit123 I have been doing the cleaning for 8 years, including 40 cubic yards of trash into dumpsters after my ex moved on without his stuff. Yes, cleaning is very emotional!

We do get attached to things. When I like something, I don't usually want to let it go until it's worn out and worthless.

Yay.. it’s the weekend.. My neighbours have just moved out .. they filled a skip last week and today I watched a waste disposal company clear their driveway of old sofas/drawers/mattresses and pillowcases with the sheets/pillow slips still on.. to me, it seemed such a waste and I was secretly glad that some people had come and taken things from the driveway to repurpose them.. But my neighbor has lost his wife last year and had lots of bad luck, so he bought everything new, as his associated memories with the items were too sad.. I hope your memories are al happy ones and even if you don’t have the items, you have the memories 😁🤗

@gaelicgal I have been donating all the reusable stuff. I have had a long time to figure out what to keep and what to give away. Luckily or sadly, not sure which, there are a lot of charitable places near me that accept used items in good condition.
