The struggle you are in today is developing the strength you will need tomorrow...

Good Friday everyone!!! I am going to get my hair dyed tonight, so I am ready for this work day to be over!! I hope you are all having a terrific wonderful outstanding day so far.

I gained this week, 2 lbs, but its not anything I am going to obsess or stress over. I know where I went wrong, I know how to fix it, and it will be gone before I know it. I had more carbs this past week than I have had in months, it was great tasting, but I could feel the difference afterwards. I was sore, sluggish, and overall, just didnt feel good. I enjoyed it, the time I was having while eating them, because it was memories made, but the feeling afterwards sucked!! Like people always says, there are so many factors at play here (water, sodium, bowels, etc.) that 2lbs is negligible in the grand scheme of things.

I am in the homestretch for my vacation! This final week. By this time next week, I will be in Bluefield, West Virginia. Ive never been there, so thats exciting, but I looked up things to do...the top 5 things are go to the park, and the next 5 are things at those parks to look at. Apparently, its a very boring town. I will be there watching friends get married. Which I am excited about, but I just wish that there were a few things to see there. For the record, the cherry dress is getting closer to fitting!! When it does, you all will be the first to know!

Thursday of next week, we are going to Graceland. I am excited about that. My sister is a HUGE Elvis fan, so I will get to take millions of pictures to show her. There were 4 different ticket packages, there was one for $169 per person!! I know that people are super fans, but thats just insane. We are going to end up spending about $110.00 for both of us, but it will be worth it. Plus, most of the rest of the trip will be inexpensive, so we can splurge a little there.

Im nervous though because they want to go swimming and because of the water weight in my legs, they are discolored and deformed. I am so embarrassed about them, its the one thing that I am scared will never change while I lose weight and they are so ugly. Its at my calves, so its not like I can just wear long shorts to swim and be fine. I know that real friends wont care, but they are so gross that you cant help but stare. Ugg!

Today I will pray for health, renewed health and continued healing for everyone. I will pray that our bodies adjust to the weight loss and the Lord brings restoration and healing. I will pray for continued strength and endurance for the long journey we are all on. I will give thanks for those who have reached their goal, and pray that those of us who are still struggling to lean on them for support. I pray for love and blessings for all who are here. I thank God for each new day. Each new chance to show people who I am through Him. I give praise and thanksgiving for all He has given me. In Jesus name, Amen!!

Continue to push forward, even when life is pushing back from the other side. The Grand Canyon was created from just a trickle of water.

Can't wait to see the red dress! You are beautiful, legs and all. Don't forget that.

Google swim tights or water pants. They're tight fitting, so you can swim, and they cover anything you don't want to show.

So excited for you to go on some adventures! Please don't let the leg situation stress you. If you get one of those pretty sarong cover ups (about $15 Walmart online) to match your bathing suit, you'll be a styling bathing beauty. Can't wait to for the cherry dress. 😊 Have a great weekend! 💖

I feel your pain and I let my life get way from me also. I decided a little over a week ago to take control.. I told my son recently that I didn't want my family to have to bring a wheel barrel to pick up my ashes. Lol. Good luck in your struggles.

Ooo, have a great trip! I believe you should let your legs show, scars and all. They tell a story of where you have been. Let people stare. You also never know, you may give someone else inspiration and strength. I have never been really heavy but there was a point that I was in the overweight BMI category. I go to a place where there is a huge pool and all of our friends hang out and swim. The bigger ladies usually wear full bathing suits, with shorts and or t-shirts. I did the same, as I had some "fluff" to cover up. One weekend, a wife showed up after having a hysterectomy and she went swimming in a bikini. I saw her confidence and I was absolutely in awe of her. I thought it was beautiful that she did not give a flying crud about her fluff and her scars. She was just out there, in a pretty bikini having fun. After that, I ditched the shorts and went as is. I have a husband that loves me as is, why should I care what the other husbands and wives think, right? Maybe wear some type of leggings, if it would make you feel more comfortable?

Just enjoy the pool and you can get some exercise in there as well. Ihave terrible legs and my arms are terrible.. If you want a laufg , last week my 5 5 year old grandson was in back seat of my car and out of no where, he said Grandma your arms look like butt cheeks, it hurt but then it was so funny because he said what he saw, out of the mouth of babes. We went to Graceland last year loved it

I’m excited for you! Vacations are always so fun. I have wasted so much time I could have enjoyed with my kids because I was embarrassed of my body—don’t let it hold you back. Swim! And even if you feel totally insecure, act like you don’t. Most people are insecure and will be envious of your confidence if you show it. Have fun! Can’t wait to see your hair.

Sounds like you are going to have an amazing trip! Don’t forget your blue suede shoes when visiting Graceland lol. You bought new swimsuits so don’t be afraid to show them off and the hell as to what other people may say about any part of your body. You are strong!

My nephew has light skin and burns easily so he wears a full-body suit made of light-blocking fabric. Hope you have fun whatever you decide to wear!
