Thanks all. I'm off today and I almost made breakfast and then I chugged some water and will pretend this is a regular work day and will eat the way I ate the last few days because it's working.

Your comment about pretending it's a regular work day as far as how you will eat reminds me so much of me! I am retired, but when I was working I was so disciplined during the work week, mostly by packing a healthy, portion controlled lunch and bringing snacks like apples or carrot or celery sticks to eat at my desk. I was able to maintain my weight because of how I ate on work days even though my weekends or vacation days were pretty much out of control. Retirement has been a struggle because every day is like a weekend or vacation day and I've had to figure out how to eat like I did on work days.

From my perspective, you have found one of the keys to dealing with weight control issues. On just normal, ho-hum days you Follow a WOE that is consistent with maintaining your weight control goals. Then on those occasions that there are events that you would like to celebrate you do so and enjoy it. That does not mean you throw good sense out the window— it means you make better choices and use your portion control skills. It does not give you free reign to have a pigout. Best of both worlds. No cheat meals, cheat days, cheat weeks required. No guilt, no feeling of failure required, you just return to your normal WOE.
