Why is it that I crave a cheeseburger whenever my weight goes down? Talk about your warped thinking!

Uhoh, be careful of that! It's the "I got this" then "I deserve a reward- food!" paradox. It happens to everybody. Try to resist. A lot of us have a great weigh in and then go "blow it" on some food we know we shouldn't have and then feel guilty and bad later. These feelings plagued me too for about a year. Two steps forward, one step back. But eventually they did go away. Now, a weight loss makes me feel like I want to stick to the diet even more. I literally never desire to "cheat". Not even momentarily. If you can resist it, that's the best. But if you have the naughty food, don't let it affect the rest of your day or week. A cheeseburger is a perfectly reasonable thing to eat, IMO. But make it yourself! Go get some lean ground beef and some good cheese and either skip the bun or get some wheat bread instead. Nothing wrong with that!

Maybe a grilled fish sanwich on wheat instead...I already have that in the fridge and it sounds way better. No rewarding myself with naughty food! I've worked way to hard to get the weight down this week!!! Besides, 3 more lbs and I get to go shopping and it WON'T be in the Plus section either! That will be the ultimate reward and my motivation to stay clear of the closest Burger King.

Maybe your body is telling you it wants more protein? Or just that your calories are too low? Maybe a nice turkey burger will do?

No problem with the cheeseburger- BIG problem with burger king :) Because would you REALLY get the burger and skip the fries? Me thinks not!

Actually, my husband just told me we're going to a local mediterranean restaurant. I have no clue how to figure this one out!

The Mediterranean diet is usually a pretty good one. Do some research before you go, time permitting, and you will likely find a lot of great choices. Not to mention that it is yummy...

Definetly skip the fatening burgers and go for the homemade kind. Still yummy and it will taste better. Fish sandwhich sounds good too. I love mediterranean food except olives. I have never liked them.

Well, I ended up in a situation where I HAD to pick up something quick because I was totally unprepared to be on the road for 2 hours and I was starving. I didn't go for the cheeseburger but instead ate 1, yes ONE, Taco Bell Fresco steak grilled taco. 160 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. I'm pretty proud of that!
