Ange1s_Dont_Eat's Journal, 27 May 2018

I've had to analyze my habits and abilities to sustain these habits lately. I've decided that as much as I thought I wanted to become "Vegan" again, it's just not the logical decision at this time. Also, due to my lack of protesting behaviors, I don't feel that it's right on my part to claim such a label. (I've stated before that I cannot STAND labels, but only use them so that others will understand.)

I've instead decided to go Lacto/Ovo Vegetarian for the time being. At least until I can transition a little easier, and over time instead of over night. When going out, this will make things less difficult on my family and I won't have to dictate where we all go anymore. However, I will still, when possible, choose the Vegan options when available.

Also, I hope to be returning to the gym soon since my knee has been doing better, and I feel that this decision is important to bettering my results for now.

I appreciate those of you that follow my posts and cheer me on. It means a lot to me, which is why I felt the need to explain my decision. I don't want to attempt to hide that from anyone, it is what it is, ya know? But I believe in honesty to the fullest and even though I've not met anyone here, I treat you the same as I would those that are physically in my life.

Best of luck to everyone on whichever path you choose to go on. This journey is YOURS and YOURS alone. Don't allow others to push you in a direction you're not ready to go in. Take your time, learn on your way, and enjoy life. This doesn't have to suck. Trust that.

Good luck on your journey! One question, how do you get the lines to appear in your journal post?

@adefwebserver - I type them out that way. I don't like how it's all jumbled together. Lol it heightens my anxiety, as stupid as that may sound.

I think making tangible, reachable goals is the key to success in anything. Creating an eating program for yourself that fits your needs and makes you more accessible will be a big plus for you, I think. I agree with your choices! I have a couple of friends who will only go to specific restaurants that fit their particular needs, spend a lot of time instructing the waitstaff, then discussing their food after it comes. You know what? It's boring. Food is fuel and when we overthink it, it affects our bodies, our minds, and our interpersonal relationships. That's why this forum is so great. Everyone here wants to hear the overthinking! We're all doing the same thing but we're not imposing it on our friends and family (unless they are genuinely interested). Keep up the good work. Everything you're doing is right.

You have to do what is right for you, and what is sustainable for you. Great job recognizing that now is not the right time, and making the right changes. Best of luck on your journey!! Stay strong!
