I am taking an online class that gives evidence to support that almost any diet will work as long as the foods eaten are real foods that resemble what they looked like when they were grown. Neither GMOs nor processed substances, (which are devoid of nutrition,) count as real foods. They also taught that every person should drink one ounce of water for every two pounds of body weight, and a couple of doctors claimed that all autoimmune diseases are actually symptoms of severe dehydration coupled with a probable sodium deficiency.

Basically, these are things I already knew, but I have to be encouraged to adhere to them. It is way too easy to fall into old habits of eating and drinking what is convenient and/or inexpensive.

Saturday, I ate the last of my eggs with some vegetables from my garden. I have two dollars to last until the end of the month, but I do have some preserved food in my cabinet. Also, my garden is producing salad. Usually on Sundays, my family takes me out to eat, so Saturdays may become fasting days. Weekdays, I have really good lunches at the Senior Center. Saturday morning, I weighed myself. It took mere days to gain five pounds, but weeks to lose them again.

I was reading back in your posts and noticed you make sauerkraut. I made it many, many years ago. As I recall, all we did was shred cabbage and salt the bejeppers out of it. We put it in a crock and waited. Seems too easy and maybe not safe. It was delicious. How do you make yours? Love your posts. ❤

$2!!! I can’t handle it. I like that you are adding to your knowledge base by online classes. Experts are many and varied (like our bodies) so the more you learn, you can pick out what works for you. I have learned a lot from those classes and doc videos. I would repeat some by saying that many diseases come around to toxicity plus deficiency. Meaning low nutrient foods (your tank is empty) plus some toxic interloper blows your body’s immune system. We are very very complex organisms. Now, fresh greens are your best best stuff-your- face-all-day friends.

Not to pester, but you have definitely posted all the things that I learned over the last 20 years and really believe in. Bergman is dead on. See if you like Dr. Darren Schmidt and his study of lactic acidosis. I’m diabetic and refuse chemical meds. Got off everything with keto foods (never been in ketosis as I think protein converts to glucose in me. I am focused on heavy nutrition to heal sluggish system. I’m just now learning what foods work and don’t for my blood sugar. Arthritis is slowly and periodically alleviated for some activity. Getting better! Nice to meet you Moog.

I -wish- that really -was- the case regarding autoimmune diseases/disorders...but it's not...

Thanks, Juls, I have to keep my proteins much lower than I used to! I was a body builder thirty years ago, and always thought I had to keep proteins high, but at a diabetic 60, I have learned that I had to cut them in half to a third for keto.

How dismissive of people with autoimmune disorders. That's a load of malarkey.

Ok, not to be dismissive of anyone’s illness or journey. Many of us have been subject to medical diets and procedures that created problems. According to well known, practical application, autistic kids have been found to have serious nutritional deficiencies and toxic load. This is from normal mom and dad, cooking good food, and giving Rx meds to their beloved child. Once they get on keto, true keto, which is calorie quantified at 80% quality fats, 15% protein, and 5% carbs, unlimited fresh greens, extra minerals, they are scoring higher on cognitive tests and ultimately reducing or eliminating toxic regulatory meds. YouTube autism + keto. Same goes with arthritis, fibermyalgia, some cancers! Charlotte Gerson, “toxicity plus deficiency equals illness. That turns into cancer!”

I get it for the GMO debate. There are foods that have been engineered to the point they do not provide the same nutritional variety as when initially grown in nature. But nature has been engineering foods for eons. Those that fight pests are more plentiful. Those that taste better were propagated, etc. I guess my point is, the goal should be nutritional diversity. Cause honestly, there is very little we eat that has not been engineered by some force. If we rule out all GMO, even foods we think as natural such as oranges wouldn’t make the grade.

Further to the topic, keto was a diet conceived for epilepsy. It has been shown to reduce inflammation, of course, helping Alzheimer’s, dementia, vascular degeneration, eyesight, lupus, and other autoimmunity. Not just eating bacon. You gotta get your nutrients and not consume negative-nutrients. Example, sugar substitutes work against your microbiology. They kill guy bacteria. They damage cells. Like wheat, cause leaky gut. Like soy, cause hormonal chaos. Like sugar, rause insulin levels. Vaccines are known to cause toxic reactions for decades. Teens today, may have up to 90 vax by the time they are 21. It’s causing such nutrient depletion, along with chlorine and fluoride, false chemical vitamins, young mothers are too ill to carry healthy babies. It’s dire. It’s a miracle we are alive. Or so says the alternative and homeopathic docs that treat and cure THOUSANDS. I dunno 🤷‍♀️ but it seems worth a minute to learn.

GMO is not the worst of it, but certainly a bad turn. Well known, Monsanto, a chem company, has corn 🌽 seed locked down. Farmers cannot easily buy non-roundup ready seed. Roundup is a cute marketing name, but it’s glyphotsate and other herbicides that are hideous and insipid. Why? Corn is GMO’d to withstand the glyphosate, which prevents uptake of life sustaining nutrients for any organism. Corn grows, weeds grow. Farmer 👩‍🌾 sprays roundup on contract with Monsanto to save money. Higher corn yield they promise. Rain runoff takes all chems into your water. Corn is harvested, made into Doritos. Made in corn oil, and dreaded high fructose corn syrup. It’s in EVERYTHING. Little here, little there. School lunch program. A soda. Chinese noodles. Salad dressing. Mayo. Hair products. Toothpaste. These toxins get in us, cause gut bacteria kill and damage cells.

We are the weed. Nutrient uptake is interrupted and we try to overcome with more and more food. We get sicker. Fatter. Guts are weak. GI tract is inflamed. All the billions of interactions that we require for life, hacked away by this nasty, and other nasty, chemicals. To a point where we are developing chronic and weird metabolic problems. Diabetes is naturally very rare. But 35-45% of us have it. Diabetes is a nutritional deficiency. Our insulin receptors are coated with cells born out of bad oils. They don’t work right. This causes pancreatic cancers. Once, 20 years ago, panic cancer was so rare you had to look hard for 100 patients in the country to test. Now, you can’t swing a cat in town without hitting one. I’m sorry, it’s a disaster. If you don’t believe me, look these things up.

Thanks, Juls. You said a lot of what I would have said. Sjmdoahoe and Malkin, I get my watercure info from watercure.com and watercures.org. As for autoimmune diseases, do either of you have MS? I would be happy to give you a PERSONAL account of how I no longer suffer from it as a result of following Dr. Batmanghelidg's protocol. Disease and Drugs are Big Business, and no one likes their livelihoods damaged by free stuff.
