cindylynnwho's Journal, 30 January 2008

Aaaagggghhh!!! I went to bed really early last night and missed my exercise again yesterday (and half my water intake). I had been meditating and decided not to get back up. Anyway, it appears that stress and lack of exercise and veggies are taking their toll. I am feeling very discouraged lately. I feel like this should be easier. But I just have to get back on the wagon and resume the exercise, water, sleep, and tons of vegetables. I just have to keep on pluggin'. I'm starting to get embarrassed about my chart, though. I really want to reach my mini-goal soon. Or at the the very least get down to a new low of 202. I guess when I look at it realistically, for the past two days I have been continuing to eat the amount of calories I would need if I had exercised, but then I didn't. So I guess I can't complain about the results. Today's my day off so it is good timing for me to get back into my routine. I'm still behind at work, though, and might try to catch up. My work goes through phases: unpredictably, sometimes no one needs anything and there's nothing to do, and other times, everyone wants me at once!

You hang in there girl and only look forward... We both need to reach that stupid number..... You can do it. Take it one day at a time. Do overs are great...

Well you did learn something about balance of calories and exercise. I'm sure you'll do better once you work that into your calculations. Just as a side note, if you exercise at the end of the day, you need more calories the following day to make up for the deficit. You don't have to eat more that same day. Does that make sense. That might help you balance it out more. ;)

Yes, I did learn something. But sometimes when I exercise at night, I end up wide awake starving when I am supposed to be sleeping (unless I have eaten plenty earlier). So that is why I was eating in anticipation of exercise although it turned out not to be a good idea. I don't know. I'll figure it out. It seems so complicated sometimes. But already today I am making up for my errors in vegetables and exercise!! Just went for a long intense bike ride and ate a nice lunch of a salmon patty and lots of celery and carrot sticks with hummus. I don't feel as hungry today so maybe my body is doing the reverse-- making up for not exercising yesterday by not wanting to eat too much today. Thanks for stopping by, Sara. I really appreciate that you always have helpful comments for me and everyone else, too! :)

lol, Zhanice, you didn't mention your guest was from hell! Is it an annoying guest or is it just the diet that's a problem? Maybe if you told your guest your problem, they would be understanding? Sorry you're bummed, too. But we'll get back on track soon, I am sure. :)
