kingkeld's Journal, 04 May 2012

Woohoo! I'm under 80 again, baby! :)

So, yesterday I didn't snack whatsoever. I found it to be very easy, once I put my mind to it. Actually, I think I found it easier than having just a little. Maybe this IS the way to go for me?

I'm gonna test it again today - no snacks at all. I'll simply focus on breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's all.

Yesterday, of course, I was very low on calories. Today I'll have to make sure I don't go THAT low. It's okay for a day or two, but I don't want that to be an issue either, so I will try to have slightly better meals, and spend all my calories on them, if possible.

The results show on the scale this morning. I'm down 800 grams since yesterday, and even if it's not fat loss (just as I don't really think/feel that my gain was fat gain) then it's still to be considered as an accomplishment, I think.

So what I'll do is simply to keep going. I will do good throughout the day - no snacks. I will drink all my water, I will have good meals, and I will enjoy the day off from work with Wife.

So far, we're just hanging at home. The weather is dull and grey, but we're hoping it'll clear a little so we can walk to the garden and hang there. We gotta be home at 4PM, as I'm rockin' with The Black Peanut tonight, it's our weekly rehearsal day. I will have a couple of slices of bread and cheese at our session. It's tradition, and it helps me keeping going when we play. I think I need the carbs there. :)

Since it's "hanging with Wife"-day, this will be a shorter journal - just wanted to weigh in and report how I did yesterday and how it affected my weight.

Today I'm thankful for:
- Three day weekend!
- An awesome breakfast. Sure, same as usual, but a lot nicer when you've got time for it and don't have to go to work.
- Coffee.
- A day with full control and no snacking. :)

Happy Friday, people! Life is good!

Congrats for being again below 80kg, kingkeld! You could look at the "extra" calories you have to eat in order not to loose weight as a bit of healthy food to add to every meal. Let's say it's 500kcal, then it will be about 150kcal extra per meal, so you cuold add a yogurt or some wallnuts at the end of each meal. Anyway, keep in mind what you've achieved is simply amazing!! :)

Challenges are fun! Annoying, but fun. :) I do wish I could just do what I feel like, but I can tell that I generally feel better today. I feel less bloated, more comfortable, "thinner" in a way. It does make a difference. So why is it so hard to do this every day? I have no idea. Fact is, I love the treats and want more, like a frickin' addict. Another fact is, if I give in then I'll gain weight. Not from the little first piece, but from the ones following. :/

perhaps you need to make a 'rule' to live by...like... NO treats 2 Days in a row! Ever. End of story. Nada. Zip. Nothing. Period. Dot. Once the decision is made.. you only have to pay attention to whether you already had something. Or twice a week. Or once a week. Or whatever works for you? You can do this... ;)

Still inspirational!!! Plus I love the detail of the meals, considering I have not had real solid food in about a week or so, it's nice to read!

You'll get this whole maintenance thing worked out. It seems that you pretty much already know what you need to do. HOpe the weather permits you to get outdoors. Have a great weekend and enjoy your party on Sunday.

I DO think I know what I need to do. The trouble is to be diligent enough to pull it off. :)

Aw, you talk like a defeated person. You have the willpower. Nothing to it but to DO it. You'll do just fine. Have a GREAT weekend--both of you!!
