Time2FixMe's Journal, 01 November 2017

These last few weeks have been BIG! I've been keeping up with all of you silently.

September and most of October were filled with intense emotional turmoil and I let things get out of control (like 12 pounds!). I started therapy and it's been so-so.

I've always been the type of person who wanted to get the prize first to be coaxed into doing something and not the other way around. Well, I've been laser focused since bringing someone back into my life. This is a huge topic but one of the things holding me back from reaching out was that I wasn't ready. Although weight was never an overt issue, I always wanted that 'Oh shit, you got hot moment' and it seems like a face-to-face reunion will be imminent in the coming months. This was just the fuel I needed to get back at it.

Along those lines, I often find myself discouraged because I don't see the changes reflected in the mirror. Deep down, I know last year at this time I was bursting out of my underwear and couldn't button my jeans. Now, I have the opposite problem and my jeans are too big. Yet I still look disgusting in pictures.

WELL today I had to submit a photo for our company weight loss challenge to take us through the holidays. While saving my photo I came across ones I had taken in early 2016, right before I realized I had let things get out of hand.

Oh my gosh! My body is still roughly the same shape but my face is no joke, probably half the size. I was so bloated looking! It's so strange that these are the only photos I can tell a difference in. Just the reassurance I needed and a great reminder that the darn scale doesn't tell all (there's only about an 8 pound difference in my last set but major changes from working out).

So now I buckle down, stay patient and get hot!

Thanks for listening buddies!

It may motivate you to take more "selfies" and begin to catalog changes (no matter how subtle) along your journey towards the "new you" - much success to you!

When I look in the mirror, I don't really see the change, but when I look at past/present photos, I sure can! You can do this.
