OMG! OMG! OMG! I did it! I am under 200!!! Doing a happy dance. 198 this a.m. What a great reward for a crappy week. Havn't commented much this week. Been kind of down. Don't really know why. Had some major constipation problems this week which I think was a big part of it. Cutting down on the jello MIMs. I think that is what is doing it. Those will be a once in a while treat instead of daily. Going back to cocoa and pumpkin. Also have had a weird work week. Then to top it all off my husband's back went out on him yesterday. The worst I've ever seen him. Took him to the ER and they did nothing. He had a shot of dalaudid, a muscle relaxer, and morphine with no relief. Sent me home with a 6 ft., 300 lb. man who could barely stand or walk and it didn't matter that the pain med did nothing. You have to be in alot of pain to get no relief from that kind of med. Through the night he also took a percocet and flexeril! X-ray showed nothing more than his usual chronic disease. I am taking him to his orthopedic dr. today. I am very concerned. He just went back to work the beginning of Jan. after being off for 7 months. He can't work like this. Don't know what we are going to do. Anyway, I am getting off this depressing stuff and I am celebrating my achievement. The way my scale was looking this week I didn't think it was going to happen. But I had a feeling yesterday because I was able to move my belt another notch. When I started Atkins I was on the last hole and yesterday I went to the fifth hole! I really, really wanted to stress eat but I didn't. Have to admit I did stress drink last night. Had some vodka and diet drink. But at least I didn't eat the danish or ice cream my husband brought home earlier in the week that has been taunting me. Sorry to whoever is reading this for the rambling. I know it is kind of up and down and all over the place but that is how I feel today and I kind of need to get it off my chest.

Nino! What a huge accomplishment. Persistance really does pay off. (Guess I should start working on mine). I am so sorry to hear about DH. You said his usual chronic disease? Mine is dealing w/ similar situation. It's tough on them, but we really do need to care for ourselves in order to care for them. You are doing so well. Welcome to onederland. On a side note - I want to make a pumpkin mim. Do these use canned pumpkin? If so, where in the heck are ya'll finding this? None of the stores here have had pumpkin all year (even at Thanksgiving) due to a shortage.

Yeah, I use can pumpkin and I get my pumpkin just from the grocery. Havn't had a problem with that. One can lasts a long time though. I only use 1 tbls. in a MIM. Last time I ended up throwing part of it out. I thought I might try freezing half of it and see how it does.

msamy-I make jello MIMs by substituting the cinnamon with a tsp. of dry sugar free jello. I love them. I usually use orange jello or cherry jello. I even made them before with the cherry jello and a tsp. of cocoa. That was good too. I don't understand how the jello could be affecting me like that but that is the only thing that has been different in my diet so I am going to back off for a while and see if it makes a difference. But I will be using them as a treat once in a while.

I have asked Wal-Mart and 2 other stores in my area and they have all aid that they weren't able to get them in. So, unless I can get online, I am going to have to wait til fall.

kmartin-I have seen from you previous posts that your DH has problems too. Mine has had back problems for years. This past year has been really rough. He was off work for 7 months due to heart issues. Usually they give him injections in his back but due to his heart condition they won't give him injections. They said he is too high risk right now even though his heart has been doing great. I took off work today and am taking him to the Orthopedic Dr. I am going to tell them they are going to have to figure something out. He can't live like this. I am afraid they are going to just have to keep him off work until they feel he can get the injections again. I have been working a second job to help out when he was off work. He went back to work in Jan. and we were starting to get caught up financially and we had discussed me quitting the second job in the next month or so. I think that is going to be out of the question now. I'm glad I lost some weight to help with my spirits because I have to admit that I am pretty down today. I am so worried about him. He was up until about 3:00 a.m. (I should say we were up) because of the pain and spasms. He finally knocked out I think from exaustion. He also works 3rd shift so he hadn't had any sleep for over 24 hrs plus all the pain meds he had. I have been letting him sleep this a.m. but he is going to have to get up so I can take him to dr. I am worried if he is going to be able to get up. I have had to call an ambulance once before when his back went out because once he got in bed he couldn't get up. Well I am jumping the gun here. Need to not go there. Sorry for the rambling today. I am a rambler in the first place but I guess it is my nerves today. Sorry.

So sorry to hear about your husband's back and heart problems. I have had dilaudid for stomach spasms before so I know it must have been really severe if that didn't help. I hope he gets the help he needs and you both get some rest. Congratulations on getting under 200! That is awesome!!!
