Log it to keep yourself honest. You just have to keep the bad stuff out of the house.

I try to remember that I need to be able to enjoy myself once in awhile. Today is a new day.

How can I keep cookies and snacks out of the house when I have grandchildren that like to come over because Mema has a snack bin full? It would be easy for me not to buy them if it weren't for that. I just can't keep myself out of the bin. That's the hard part for me.

I'm going off the rails on a crazy train.....

Shake it off Ches, we all have "emergency pie" days occasionally. Move onward in life, downward on the scale and ride that crazy train to the finish line.

Don't be ashamed, log it Ches. You have a loss to the good. It's all part of the journey...

Not logging it won't take it back, log it and acknowledge it then kick it's a$$!!

NO SHAME!!!! Yes I'm shouting that. Emergency pie beats emergency Botox, right? Also I had emergency prime rib for breakfast instead of planned "Rocket Fuel Latte," so, glass houses. Why not log it, though?

Great advice above for you Ches and great to see you take the advice and log the snack attack. My advice is a solid echo to your other buddies....don't be ashamed, "shtuff" and life happens...all the time!! Just log it and adjust in the following day(s), much less stress and maybe even diet empowering. Keep on keeping on mate!!

If it makes you feel any better, I've done far worse and lived to tell about it. There is a small tub of Ben & Jerry's (about 1200 calories) logged in one of my early daily food journals, wasn't proud of it, knew it wouldn't feel good, but couldn't get myself to stop until it was done. It was a good lesson for me on personal accountability AND being very, very careful around certain things, :-)

I log it all😊 It's part of the learning process.. Then you can look back on your journals and see how far you've come No shame! You are among friends here.. were all fighting our own battles together

Bettycmoody, I have my grands bring their own snacks...such as M&M's for popcorn, candy, crackers, NuGo bars, etc. I will keep some fruit for them in the house such as strawberries, grapes, apples in small quantities. So, that's how I deal. We will also bake or make some "goodies" that are immediately put in a container and shipped home with them.

Oops, I should read comments before chiming in. I'm about to hit the fitness room to balance out my morning emergency measures. You couldn't have posted pictures of the pie, etc., though? ;-)
