erikahollister's Journal, 24 June 2017

Okay, I've been on the lam; haven't tracked for three weeks and put on some pounds. - Ate some carbs and drank some wine - not terrible, but kind of lax. I'm back here for some inspiration to get back on track. I lost 40 lbs last year and since then, it's been a struggle just to maintain. I need to get my head back in the game to get back on the downward track. Thanks everyone for providing some inspiration and a little kick in the backside!
204.6 lb Lost so far: 75.4 lb.    Still to go: 4.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Oooohhh consider yourself kicked, just kidding. But since you were on the lam your under house arrest 😉. You got this, remember journal, journal, journal. It will definitely help keep you in check.

For being on the lam, my dear, you didn't do badly....but you inspired the rest of us by leading the pack last year...I remember thinking that Erika is showing a loss again. Your determination made me think, "why if Erika, why not me." Getting back into the routine is the hardest part of the journey. This first week will be a test of wills...and you know as well as the rest of us that it is determination that must rule. There is no easy way of easing back in, it is a matter of just taking the plunge and not worrying if the water may be too cold....after all, your body will acclimate:) I am here as well as so many of your other buddies and friends to support you each step of the journey. Thinking kindly on you today!

At least your not giving up. Good for you!! I wish I would have started FS when I first started my diet. I was late getting the support and counting calories. I'm down almost 40lbs now. Great job not giving up on yourself.

Meditation always helps me when I'm trying to get my head on straight. Read back to your first journal entries, to remember why you started this journey. Read back to see all the things you've learned and come to believe. And mostly, remember that you have a gang of people who appreciate you, have learned from you, and are here to support you. ♥

Thank you, my friends. I do feel the support and community here. It's strange and wonderful to have friends that you've never met, and yet we share so much! It's good to be here with you all.

I'm feeling the same way: need to get my head back in the game. I've been telling myself I just have to deal with it one day at a time. It helps to know we're in this together!

I agree with all the other comments. Like kes, when the going gets tough I reread my old journal entries to see how far I've come I find noting the nonscale victories on my journals.. how I've changed my WOE/how I react to food related situations also helps me immensely. Focus on your goal and what motivates you, remind yourself daily.. I'm counting down til I meet my Irish family at a wedding fir the first time in a year( it some for several years), I look at dress online and have one of my old size 12 dresses hanging on my wardrobe door... and I am much more physically able and take less painkillers and can do more for my kids .. these are just as important to me as fitting into a dress Get your mind in the right place, plan and record as you did before and you WILL do this x

Thanks for your help - all! I had a good weekend sweating it out in the garden heat, eating mindfully -- and got a downturn on the scale. One day at a time!
