kingkeld's Journal, 22 February 2012

Booooo! I'm a little up again, 78.0 kgs. I was hoping to stay in the 77's and below this week, but it just didn't happen.

The reason is pretty simple. Bad sleep last night - stomach hurting, and I'm feeling constipated. I'm sure this will fix itself within a day or two - and I'm still counting on a new low by Saturday.

Yesterday was a blast again. I had a couple of great interviews at work, and it was all pretty much a walk in the park.

Then, teaching the kids, we had tons of fun learning a new original song that one of the kids wrote. It's fun, but also quite a challenge for them.

The trouble with teaching is, however, that I tend to drink WAY too much coffee. This happened again yesterday, ending in me lying sleepless most of the night. I am dead tired this morning.

I'm supposed to do my HIIT today, but I can tell already that this isn't gonna work. I have NO energy. Today will have to be a cruise day, with as few demands of me as absolutely possible.

If I can just make it through work, then I'm happy. I might even go home early, if I can. I think I'll go in early with that mission in mind.

So, let's count on a 77's weigh-in tomorrow again. :) I'm out for now - sorry, I simply don't have the head to write a whole lot. I'm just gonna sit here, finish my coffee (this is essentially my "thankful list" of today), and enjoy a little music and kitty cat.

Take care my friends - even in my ever so sleepy state, life is good! :)

You can DO IIIIIT! Btw have you considered decaf? Just a thought amigo... Have a good day...I'm going to sleep now...zzzzzzzz

I usually DO have decaf coffee, or tea, when I have it in the evenings. The thing is, at the school where I teach there is no such option. I could opt out of coffee altogether up there, but I simply don't think about it until it's too late. Coffee is a tradition there, and it's hard to shake. Of course I can just not have any if I want to, but I really do like to enjoy coffee there. Maybe I should consider just bringing a water bottle. :)

;-p I definitely understand... I had TWO mochas today, knowing full well there would be NO MORE for at least 40 days...omg groan... :'(

I'm a great coffee lover, too, but since I gave up instant coffee several years ago, I just make one pot of filter coffee in the morning and drink all my coffee in the hours around breakfast. We don't have the ubiquitous coffee outlets here so the only alternative available later in the day is instant - easy to avoid! Could you make a flask of decaf to take with you?

Amazing the effects of too much coffee. I used to drink lots and very rarely drank tea. I have now limited myself to 2 cups of coffee a day, the rest of the time I drink tea - and some of that is green tea as it quite refreshing and full of anti oxidants. I think Earthlady may have a point - take a flask of decaf or your own coffee granules in (not sure if a kettle is available). I think coffee is addictive - and if you gradually reduce it, you may find eventually, you can do without it, or at least only want one or two cups a day. As a side issue - when I drank lots off coffee and regularly drank alcohol - my fingers and ankles used to swell - a neighbour (who was a nurse said alcohol and coffee together would do this). When I reduced the coffee and replaced it with tea - they didn't swell so much.

KingKeld, I'm having the same issues. I'm only a few pounds to my goal, but these last pounds are fighting to stay on! Any suggestions?

For me, there are just certain things I'm not willing to sacrifice (guess I'd make a terrible Catholic). One of them, and really the main one, is my morning coffee...14 oz with 5,count 'em, 5 tablespoons of original Coffee Mate...I can do without ice cream, cookies, cake, and even, dare I say it? CHOCOLATE! But don't come between me and that one precious, extra large cup of coffee. Someone could get injured ;)
