Asarver's Journal, 29 March 2017

woo! I'm on such a role this month.

I've been trying to be more aware of what I eat this month. I ask myself if I'm really hungry, and what I've had to eat all day. Trying to log my calories at this stage was becoming much more work, and since I'm so close to my goal weight, I decided it was fine to really start listening to my body. I WILL NOT gain this weight back. I WILL be healthy.

My enjoyment of food has gone down, I hate to admit. I don't have a strong urge to eat anything specific or go out to a certain place to eat.

I am, however, looking forward to my pint of ice cream in April, since I've now started limiting myself to one a month (because zero willpower when it comes to eating it moderately). I'm also considering letting myself have a monster, for the first time since I quit soda 2 and a half years ago, when I reach my goal weight.

My runs, for the most part, have been pretty awesome. I'm at over 100 miles a month, and my long runs are 9.5 miles. I'm trying to gain a mile a month, and my goal for March was already met. I think the increase in miles is definitely getting with the weight loss.

Something strange is that the cramps from my last two periods have not been that bad. I've had awful cramps since my period started, even had a laparoscopy to make sure I didn't have endometriosis, and have had to take 3 Advils every 6 hours with a heating pad for the first day. but the last two periods I've needed no heating pad, and the last period I only "needed" (taking Advil has always been a preemptive measure, since if I take it too late I'm screwed) to take 2 Advils ONCE and I was fine. Now, I've been running for over a year now, though just recently have been doing 80+ miles a month, I'm not sure what made this happen but thank God for it. I hope it stays that way.

I've also found more healthy alternatives for breakfast and snacks! Trying to be more organic and GMO free has led me to larabars for breakfast (literally just fruits and nuts in a bar). Delicious, I love them.

Anyways, sorry for the long journal. It's been awhile friends since I've told you how I'm doing. I've been reading your journals and am inspired by you all! I hope you all have a great weekend (:

What I've found on the LC/HF diet is that I'm very rarely hungry. Great work!
