I was so excited to see that after 4 days of not seeing any weight loss, I lost 1 lb!! I'm down to 146.5. It feels great. It gave me my motivation to do my 30 min of exercise this morning when I was so tired I didn't feel like doing it. I need that perk!!!

Breakfast= cheese omelet ( 1 egg, 1/4 cup egg white) placed in a microwaveable omelet dish. Cook for 30 seconds. Add on top 1 slice of Alpine Lace reduced fat American cheese. Microwave for 30 more seconds. With that I had 3 slices of Canadian bacon and 1 cup of 1% milk.
Lunch= mixed greens with cucumber, tomato, feta cheese, green pepper and grilled chicken.
146.5 lb Lost so far: 5.5 lb.    Still to go: 14.5 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Thanks LittleMamaMickey!!! You're so good about the needed praise!!! It was a tough night. Michael (my boyfriend's) kids were over and I made dinner..... hamburgers, fries and rice for them.... steak tips, whole peeled tomatoes with oregano sprinkled on top and spinach for me. It was really hard smelling the kids' rice. It smelled soooo good. I was strong though. I have a goal. We are going to Hawaii in Feb!!! :-)

Dinner= sirloin steak tips marinated in dry red wine, lite soy sauce, pepper and oregano (found in south beach diet cookbook under "marinated steak". Also had spinach and canned whole peeled tomatoes with oregano sprinkled on top. Sugar free fudgsicle for dessert.

Congrats on the progress! My friends who have done South Beach say that if you just stick with it, the metabolism will eventully kick into high gear. This may be just the beginning of some rapid progress for you. Don't give up. We tried the marinated flank stake from the cookbook. I was disappointed with the flavor. First, we only marinated it for about 10 hours instead of 24, but I think what it needed was maybe some worcestershire sauce. We may add that next time, and try maybe a sherry vs. a red wine. Tonight we made the Chicken Capri and the Cheesy Baked Artichokes from the cookbook, and both were awesome!
